Blueberries & Blue Jeans

I visited a restaurant that was recommended to me. It's called Riccobono's Panola Street Cafe. They serve both breakfast & lunch. I went for breakfast. It's a cute cafe, that's nestled in an Uptown neighborhood of New Orleans. The individual that recommended the cafe stated, "it's very casual [cafe]...the type of place you wear jeans too". So, that's what I did! I slipped on my blue jeans, tartan shirt, faux Anjolee diamonds, quilted jacket and went.

What I loved about Riccobonos, was it's food, service & charm. You seat yourself. The menus are on the table. A waiter/waitress promptly takes your order and may I gleefully add, tastefully refills your coffee cup constantly . The cafe is no frills, but very charming. They have pretty yellow walls, lovely hanging plants and ceiling fans a twirl. Distressed wooden tables & chairs fill the cafe. They're adequately spaced, padded and comfortable. There's even single seating if you come alone. It's a homey atmosphere. They make you feel like family. They have an array of breakfast omelettes, pancakes & belgian waffles, among many other tasty things. I ordered their blueberry pancake stack (stack of 3). They were hot, tasty, light, fluffy and topped with fresh tasting blueberries. I really enjoyed them. I also had a chance to taste their hashbrowns, grits and western omelette. So good! They also have a health conscious section on their menu. I should really adhere to it, if I want to continue fitting in these jeans ;). HaHaHa Their prices are fair and you get a very nice amount of food for the price you pay. I would definitely visit them again and try some items on their lunch menu. It's great learning about a new place. Riccobono's has neighborhood charm.
