Archipelago Botanicals Coconut Body Wash & Lotion and Oat Milk Lotion Product Review

Do you like coconut? I run from mounds, almond joy or peppermint patty candy bars because they contain coconut. I turn my nose up to cupcakes sprinkled with coconut shavings, let alone an entire coconut cake. However, I DO drink coconut beverages and use coconut beauty products. Isn't that crazy? Does anyone else suffer from this?

Well anyway, let's talk about the cool NEW coconut body wash and lotion by Archipelago Botanicals (this is not a sponsored post). I was introduced to Archipelago Botanicals YEARS ago. I fell in love with their Oat Milk Lotion. It is awesome! It's a medium weight lotion, you can use year round. It's an everyday lotion, that will not compete with your perfume. It's OAT! It's MILK! It will keep your skin supple and is worth every penny! I give it a SUPERsweet rating. Your skin will love it! It will slurp it up! I was excited to see that they came out with a Coconut Collection. Below are my thoughts!

Sweet-Bittersweet-NotSweet
supersweet(run & buy it) sweet(really good,buy it) bittersweet(ok, issues)not sweet(not good,don't buy this stuff)

This body wash is both paraben & sulfate free. It has a pearl white color. There's nothing artificial about the scent. If you twist off the cap, it smells not only like coconuts but also a tropical island, cool breeze, and your favorite tropical drink. HaHaHa This is a tropical getaway in a bottle. This is relaxation in a bottle. The body wash lathers really well. It will moisturize your skin and rinse away cleanly. This is perfect for Summer. FYI - While I was at ULTA, I compared this to Philosophy's Coconut Body Wash. NO COMPARISON! And you guys know how much I love Philosophy. Philosophy's Coconut Body Wash is WEAK and ARTIFICIAL compared to this stuff.

After showering, there's only a light scent of the body wash left on your skin. If you want that scent to stay with you, purchase the lotion. It's creamy white. It's paraben free. It's not heavy. Your skin will drink it up. Your skin will feel smooth. Anyone that's scent conscious...no worries. The scent is super soft and pleasing to your nose. Health professionals (nurses etc) can use it! That's how soft & scent friendly it is. I give this a sweet rating also.

I can't repeat this enough! If you want a GREAT year round lotion with barely a scent, but something SUPER GOOD for your skin...buy their OAT MILK LOTION. It is worth every penny and I can't sing it's praises enough! You will love it! Non-greasy. Non-sticky. It's SuperSweet in my book! I've been using it for years.

Archipelago Botanicals is a brand that produces awesome quality bath & body products without bells, fanfare and frills. It's bath & body for grown ups!!! Great stuff!!!

Have a great weekend everybody! I'll return Monday with another Soap & Glory review. I wanted to cover and review all the products I saw at Ulta this week :)

  1. I love that the products are paraben and sulfate free. I must admit I'm just a bit meh with coconut-scented stuff, but I do love coconut oil and juice...hehe....Anyhoo, great review, Kim:)

PS That Oat Milk one sounds awesome.

  2. Sorry, I don't suffer from anything like that. I eat anything I like. Ha! With balance of course. Anyway, great review. I love coconut. I use a Watson's coconut lotion and really moistures my skin. Also, it's good that you drink coconut juice because it hydrates better than water.

  5. I'm always interested in products which are paraben and sulphate free and I prefer a body lotion which only has a hint of fragrance then it doesn't conflict with the perfume I'm wearing. I also like the simple packaging too. Another thorough review! Have a lovely weekend, Kim.

  12. I TOTALLY get the coconut thing. Bounty bars are the only things left in my Celebrations tub, anything vaguely scented of coconut gets me running a mile and a tiny taste of it gives me the shivers. This post is such a coincidence because I have the same freak fear of coconut as you but I have just started taking three tablespoons of coconut oil a day because it's supposedly good for the body. Ohhh boy does the scent give me shivers. Sounds like you really like this stuff; I am a little sceptical but I do like oat and milk. Mmm. Rosemary x

  25. I love to read a reviews that don't have the sponsors behind too:). the great experience of using of products is exactly what we need to hear. I love the milk medium feelings touch after we applied it. But I like to eat the real coconut more than the coconut of products though :). Wish you a wonderful weekend Kim.

  47. This sounds like a very interesting brand. I am not a huge fan of coconut (except for coconut water) but given your thoughts, I am very curious! It is also a good thing that it is sulfate and paraben free which is always a plus when buying cosmetic products. Hmmm...might ask my mom to get this for me when she visits the US soon. :)

  51. Coconut is a main commodity in Sri Lanka. Most of our meals have coconut milk. Also we use refined coconut oil for soaps, oil massages and various beauty products. I love the smell. Never tried this brand but will keep an eye for it.

Here at some beaches on the atlantic ocean the locals sell pure coconut oil to apply on your skin as you sunbathe - you get quite a tan but without any SPF.
If I were in the US i'd probably give this a try.
