If you live or plan on visiting Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Ohio, Virginia or Wisconsin, be sure to dine at
Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurants. We don't have one in New Orleans (yet), but my experience at the Cincinnati (Montgomery Rd) location was truly exquisite. It's modern casual dining and very sophisticated. I was a little worried they wouldn't let me in (hoping they would focus on the casual portion of their motto). HaHaHa We had been out all day and I was wearing shorts, flip flops and my new
Tutti Frutti Chanel Nail Lacquer. HaHaHa Usually "these" kind of restaurants say NO SHORTS...NO FLIP FLOPS! So when the manager approached us, I was like "uh-oh...here we go! I'm about to be politely excused". HaHaHa Instead she gave me a FULL tour of the restaurant! We talked, laughed and hit it off so well! She was really sweet. Side note: If you're going to wear shorts & flip flops, black & white always looks chic ;) plus a confident attitude helps too! Cooper's Hawk has a wine club, tasting room, you can eat outside and you can even host private parties there. The food & service was absolutely amazing!!! I didn't drink any wine, but their fresh squeezed strawberry lemonade was super duper delicious. DO get their chocolate cake! They make it in house! It is the lightest, fluffiest, chocolate cake I have ever had. It will melt in your mouth (see gif below). It was SO GOOD! They have a vast assortment of wine, lovely gifts, yummy treats to take home and the high heel wine holders are very cute. Cooper's Hawk really impressed me. Our bill (for two) was a little over $65 + gratuity. So bring your platinum or black card for larger groups ;) HaHaHa You'll love this place. I will definitely go back. Can you believe I have lost weight since being in Cincinnati? One of my aunt's neighbors exclaimed out loud the other day, "Oh My God, you've lost weight (gotta love senior citizens! HaHaHa), I remember seeing you in 2012...You look so good now (side eye HaHaHa)...How did you lose it? Omg'd you've lost weight!" HaHaHa Her little dog Sophie (so cute) looked at her, as if to say would you please move it! I wanna go inside! HaHaHa Have A Great Day Everybody!

ReplyDeleteThis is such a lovely restaurant and the food looks so varied and tasty too. It's always a bonus if there are treats to buy and take home. The strawberries are so cute and that's such a simple yet clever idea. You are right about black and white being more chic for shorts!

Hahaha this is so funny. Everything looks super delicious but that strawberry lemonade does sound good. I always wonder what dogs are thinking when people stop to have a chat on the street. Their little legs must hurt and I bet they're chomping at the bit to be let inside for some rest. Bless them. Rosemary x

ReplyDeleteWow $65 that is not bad! This a pretty swanky place for a chain. Funny how there are different chains in different parts of the county. I remember when I was a kid and went to live in the pan handle of Florida for 6 months and there was this chain call "Steak-n-Shake" it seemed so 1950s to me : o

The food looks so delicious. The restaurant looks very classy too. I will check them out in Florida when we go there this month.
ReplyDeleteCooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurants does sound like a really lovely place with good food and excellent service. The service portion of an eatery is always what wows me and entice me to go back for a visit. I’m sure it totally bowled you over too.
ReplyDeleteFrom the pic of your slippers and part of your clothes, I can see that you still look chic and fashionable enough not to be turned away in shorts and flip flops. The cake looks absolutely divine as of all the food. I'm hungry even though I had lunch an hour ago. Always appreciate that you include animated gif in your posts. The way you described the little dog was just too cute and funny!
