Arctic Zero Fit Frozen Desserts Chunky & Creamy Pints

It's been over 90F (32C) here in New Orleans, Louisiana. So when asked, if I would like to try Arctic Zero's Fit Frozen Dessert Chunky And Creamy Pints, I happily said YES! I love the art work on the Arctic Zero packaging. It describes exactly what flavor is in each pint and gives you calories per pint & serving. Arctic Zero Fit Frozen Desserts are Lactose Free, Certified Gluten Free, GMO Free, Low Glycemic, Nut Free, Kosher, Vegetarian and Fat Free. Now, that's healthy! So my first question was, what about taste? I had various opinions on each flavor. You can read my thoughts below.

Sweet-Bittersweet-NotSweet
supersweet(run & buy it) sweet(really good,buy it) bittersweet(ok, issues)not sweet(not good,don't buy this stuff)

A Lil' Bit Chippy - Bittersweet -  is described as a smooth vanilla with bits of rich chocolate chips. Arctic Zero's vanilla is not like vanilla your palate is use to. It's almost tasteless. Think of Vitamin D Milk vs. Skim Milk. This is more like skim milk with mini chocolate chips. It's cool. It's refreshing. The chocolate chips are good and taste like such. But if you're expecting a true vanilla or sweet taste, this is not. This was just ok to me.
Cookie Dough Chip - Supersweet -is described as chunks of cookie dough & chocolate chips in vanilla. If you're looking for something sweeter in taste, buy Cookie Dough Chip! I think what makes this so good are the bits of cookie dough and chocolate chips in the product. SO GOOD! I really like it and know you will to.
Buttery Pecan - Sweet - is described as decadent maple with bits of candied pecan. This is another delicious flavor. This is NOT HEAVY, like your usual butter pecan ice cream. You CAN taste the maple. The candied pecans are fresh, chunky & crunchy. This flavor gives you a touch of sweetness to enjoy.

Cool Mint Chip - Sweet - is described as dark chocolate chips sprinkled in refreshing mint. I'm personally not a fan of chocolate & mint together. But this is delightful! It's not overly minty or chocolatey. It's a really light mint taste with miniature dark chocolate chips. Very light & refreshing.

Orange Dream - Bittersweet - is described as a classic take on orange and sweet cream. This is on the order of orange sherbert, but without the sweet taste (think Italian ice). Again, very light!

Key Lime Pie- Not Sweet - is described as tart key lime with graham cracker crumble. Well, they definitely have that right. Now, I super LOVE key lime pie! But I have a love/hate with this. I LOVE the bits of graham cracker crumble in this flavor. I HATE the key lime portion! It's wayyy too tart for my palate.

The bottom line is Arctic Zero's products are not sweet or sugary in taste. They're healthy! They're suppose to satisfy your sweet tooth, but many of the flavors fell short with me and I don't eat a lot of sweets to begin with. I was sent 6 pints, but they have an array of flavors to choose from. They also carry chocolate dipped bars. These can be purchased ($4-5) at natural and traditional grocers nationwide, including Kroger, Publix, Safeway, Sprouts Farmers Market, Walmart and Whole Foods Market, as well as online at Amazon.com and arcticzero.com. They can be found on the following social media: Facebook (ARCTIC ZERO), Twitter (MYARCTICZERO), Instagram (ARCTICZERO), and Pinterest (ARCTICZERO).

  3. I think for any ice cream brand you're going to get ones you like. I absolutely love mint choc chip ice cream and this super appeals to me! The maple one sounds amazing too.

Even if you had a few misses with the other ones it is great you had a chance to try them all - that would have been a fun day tasting ice creams, haha!

  12. It's been close to 90F here in Vancouver as well - and we all live without air conditioning, so I've been eating lots more frozen dessert than normal, ha ha! I'd probably be better off trying Arctic Zero Fit Frozen Desserts than just regular ice cream. And the cookie dough chip sounds delicious.

  13. I'm going to have to keep my eyes open for these since I'm sensitive to both lactose and gluten. Too bad about the orange cream. That would probably be the flavor I would choose first out of these.

  14. I'm not big on sugary sweets so these would be up my alley. Based on your review, it seems like certain flavors definitely taste better than others. I'll have to see if I can find the Cool mint Chip or Buttery Pecan. Thanks for the honest review Kim!

  15. Hi Kim,

The packaging is quite fun looking and the ice creams seems delicious! I love ice creams (there goes my waist line *_^) and I guess a good ice cream will just make the day extra special and lovely.

Don't think we have this brand sold here in Malaysia though. Would have been great if we have them here.

    Cheers,

  19. Thank you so much for this review! I have been so curious about Arctic Zero, but I didn't know which flavor to get. I think I tried one of them a while ago, and it was terrible! I wish I could remember which one it was, so I could tell you to stay away! lol Definitely want to try the cookie dough now, though.

  30. Too bad that some of these didn't taste that good. I appreciate the effort of trying to keep it healthy though. It's so hard to find something healthy these days; I feel like I have to read the ingredients all the time.

  31. Oh my goodness! I have not had butter pecan ice cream in years. I'm sure craving it now, though! T. http://tickledpinkwoman.blogspot.com

  32. I make an effort not to buy ice cream to have in the fridge - because I'll eat it all in one day.
So I go for the usual cone at a place where they are home made.
