Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Ultra Gentle Daily Peel Review

In yesterday's review, I mentioned I wasn't really impressed with Murad's Rapid Resurfacing Peel. After using them, I just didn't get the results I was expecting. Well I feel the exact opposite about the Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Ultra Gentle Daily Peel ($88). I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THESE! Let me tell you how I acquired these, because you guys ... that $88 price tag blew my mind! HaHaHa Sephora offered this deluxe sample (no longer available) on their website in their Rewards Bazaar. So I decided to use some of my Sephora points to try these. Points are always better than pocket :) This sample gave 3 treatments! The $88 full size one will give you 30 treatments (so when you THINK about it, that's a little less than $3 a treatment)! When you use these, it's TWO STEPS! FIRST (STEP 1), you take the packet that says Step 1 Exfoliate & Smooth. Remove the towelette and wipe it all over your face & neck (your face should be clean & dry). It smells like cucumber water to me. It is SO refreshing. Your face will feel cool, clean and refreshed after use. Wait about 2 minutes and then start STEP 2.  STEP 2 is the Firm & Lift towelette. This didn't have a particular scent (clinical). When I applied this (which almost felt like an essence), it felt like nutrients were being ADDED to my skin. It felt so good & soothing. So Step 1 is the take away process. Step 2 is the replenishing process. During Step 2 my face felt firmer & plumper. These two steps are totally amazing. The towlettes (as shown below) look the same, but you get a totally different experience with each. You can do this at night or day. It won't conflict with your makeup application. Now, after you do all of this let it stay on overnight or all during the day. THE NEXT TIME you go to wash your face, you will be amazed! Let me tell you what surprised me! Everything dries down. You don't think anything is there. As soon as water hits your face, you will feel this creamy moisture! Continue washing your face and oh boy...soft, supple skin you guys! I love, love, love these and will be adding them to my skincare regimen. I am that impressed. I didn't know who Dr. Dennis Gross was, so I went to his website. He's a dermatologist in New York City. Well this definitely makes me want to try some of his other products. Have you tried anything from Dr. Dennis Gross?

  3. I have a ferulic acid serum in my stash by Dr. Dennis gross, still unopened, other than that I have yet to try anything from the brand. But I love doctors brands.

  4. Oh they are expensive - but if they give you the results you want then I think it's worth every penny! :)

Hope you are having a lovely week! :)

  5. Wow Kim - I was just saying in your last post that I'd never found a peel towelette that I liked, but these sound amazing, high price tag or not! I'm adding them to my wishlist for the next time I feel like splurging on a treat for myself :)

  6. Points are always better than pocket - haha yes so true! Kim, it sounds like these pads give you incredible and instant results! At less $3 /treatment that's actually pretty good as far as I'm concerned. I've never tried this brand before but I know what product I would start with now ;p

  7. Hi Kim!
So glad you reviewed these because I'd probably never spend $80+ on this product without reading a review from someone I trust. I'm always looking for anything that will make my face feel more refreshed. Also, I know what you mean about the Murad resurfacing peel, I wasn't a huge fan eithe, but I really love their Intensive C Radiance Peel and have used it for years. Great post!! Hope you're doing well.

  8. This peel sounds so interesting! To be honest, there is something about the word peel that scares me and makes me stay away from those products... I feel my skin will peel like when you get a sunburn! Silly me!

  9. That's great that you found a peel you love. Smart idea to get the sample size with your points to try before buying the full-size. I am SOOOO terrified of peels though. I don't know what it is about them but my face has broken out really bad after each time I have tried one. I want to experiment with them more but I am just too scared now. :(

  11. I'm glad it's actually worth the hefty price tag in doing what it claims to do, but that ROI does make sense and worth the splurge. I'll have to keep this in mind and hopefully I can test out some sample sizes when and if they're offered again to see how my sensitive skin reacts to them first. Thanks for sharing, beauty, and I hope you're having a great week so far!

  13. I'd never heard of this brand for sure. It's a bit more expensive but if it works ! Then so be it.

  14. I don't think I have ever seen you this excited for a product!!! Sounds incredible and it would be perfect for my skin, if only it was not that expensive but if it works, it's worth it! x

  15. I've tried a sample of these and, whilst it was also very effective on my skin, it was also a little bit too strong for it, but if your skin can handle it, I definitely agree with everything you've said here! Lovely review :)
