Sunday Riley C.E.O. Cleansing Oil, Vitamin C Brightening Serum, Vitamin C Rich Hydration Cream Review

Not Sponsored: I've been wanting to try products from Sunday Riley for awhile. I always hear great things. I accrued about $40 in Macy's money, so I decided that would be a great discount off some Sunday Riley products. I purchased two kits. Since I've been reviewing Vitamin C skincare, I thought their C.E.O. Vitamin C Kit (Neiman Marcus, Macys, Bloomingdales, Revolve, Net A Porter, Urban Outfitters, Dermstore, Madewell, Nordstrom, Barneys) would be a great start. They're deluxe samples of their popular full size products. Sunday Riley is not cheap whatsoever, so I'm happy they are making "kits" for potential customers to try. How did I get along with each? Read my reviews below.

Sunday Riley C.E.O. C+E Micro-Dissolve Cleansing Oil - Bittersweet

It was hard for me to give this cleansing oil a bittersweet rating, because I was left with super-soft and moisturized skin. But it was the struggle I had to go through applying this product, that made me downgrade my rating. I love cleansing oils and cleansing balms, but this cleansing oil was very "stiff". It didn't want to move across my face. Sunday Riley states you can use this dry or wet. It's a little better wet, but I needed more than several pumps as suggested. Another problem was that it didn't melt my makeup as fast as Clinique's Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm (reviewed here) or my new favorite Drunk Elephant's Slaai Makeup Melting Butter Cleanser (reviewed here). As far as cleansing oils, I really like DHC's cleansing oil (reviewed here). I didn't have to struggle with it. I really had to work this Sunday Riley cleansing oil in to get it going. The results are great, but I hate to struggle with anything. This cleansing oil has white willow bark, lime pearl extracts, BHA, AHA, turmeric and vitamin c. It's also Cruelty-Free, Sulfate-Free, Paraben-Free, Gluten-Free, Soy-Free, Phthalate-Free, Fragrance-Free, Vegan. Sunday Riley states that it, "Instantly dissolve(s) and removes makeup (even water-resistant eye makeup), pore-clogging debris, excess oil, and micro-pollution for a thoroughly cleansed complexion." For me, it took a lot of this oil just to remove my basic makeup.

Sunday Riley C.E.O. Vitamin C Brightening Serum - Sweet

Soft Skin. Plump Skin. Glowing Skin. Hydrated & Moisturized Skin. Expect to achieve all of those things with Sunday Riley's Vitamin C Brightening Serum. This is an excellent serum. The serum is ivory in color. It smells delightful! Like a citrus smoothie. Lightweight? Sunday Riley states you can use this both day & night, but I think its a little too much for daytime + makeup application. Although its not sticky, you can see how shiny my hand is below. I restricted my application to nighttime only. Let it work its magic overnight for glowing, firmer and plumper skin in the morning. If you do use it during the day, apply a very small amount. This serum has 15% advanced Vitamin C (THD Ascorbate). It's purpose is to help combat dullness, dark spots, discoloration and signs of aging. It also helps firm and plump skin. This serum is Cruelty-Free, Sulfate-Free, Paraben-Free, Gluten-Free, Soy-Free, Phthalate-Free, Fragrance-Free.

Sunday Riley C.E.O. Vitamin C Rich Hydration Cream - Sweet
(can be purchased at: Nordstrom, QVC, Neiman Marcus, Revolve, Macys, Sephora, Dermstore)

Sunday Riley's Vitamin C Rich Hydration Cream (or Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream - I will review tomorrow) is suggested to be applied AFTER you apply the serum above. They really pair well. It's ivory in color. It has the same scent as the serum. The key word I want you to remember is RICH! This cream is extremely hydrating and moisturizing. Again, I think it's too much for daytime use, especially with makeup application. But it works wonders at night. This cream has 5% Vitamin C and is also formulated THD Ascorbate (a powerful, jar-stable, and highly targeted Vitamin C derivative that prevents and repairs the visible signs of premature skin aging). It's been manufactured to fight dull skin, dehydrated and damaged skin. This cream is Cruelty-Free, Sulfate-Free, Paraben-Free, Gluten-Free, Soy-Free, Phthalate-Free, Fragrance-Free, Vegetarian.

While both the serum and cream are VERY GOOD, I just don't think I need that much vitamin c in my skincare regimen (at this point in my life). The results are wonderful but I don't need this amount of moisture every night. I could see myself doing this once a week (and I have dry skin). For my needs at this moment, I'm content with my REN Radiance Perfection Serum & Glow Daily Vitamin C Gel Cream (reviewed here) and Fresh Vitamin Nectar Vitamin Glow Juice Antioxidant Face Serum (reviewed here). A great Vitamin C Peel you guys is Murad's Intensive C Radiance Peel (reviewed here). And lately I have been LOVING Fresh's Vitamin Nectar Antioxidant Glow Water (reviewed here). I've been spraying it on my face everyday. It's so refreshing and leaves your skin aglow. I hope this review helps you :)
