Not Sponsored: I thought I reviewed Bobbi Brown's Hydrating Face Cream (Nordstrom, Harrods, Selfridges, Bloomingdales, Saks Fifth Avenue, QVC, Bergdorf Goodman, Sephora, Macys) on A Very Sweet Blog, but when I looked back I didn't. I now remember why! I initially ordered it during a Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, tried it and didn't like it. I think I was really disappointed because I LOVED her Vitamin Enriched Face Base (Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, Lord & Taylor, Saks Fifth Avenue, QVC, Bergdorf Goodman) (I must be on my 10th jar HaHaHa, gave it a Supersweet rating, I give it out as gifts and sing its praises ... it's a HOLY GRAIL beauty and skincare product of mine). So what do I dislike about Bobbi Brown's Hydrating Face Cream? When you apply it to your face, it has this pearlized effect. I don't like that when it comes to skincare. Maybe for a primer, to give your skin some illumination before makeup application but not for skincare. Also, the keyword here is HYDRATING and I don't feel it is. Your skin will feel soft after using this product, but the product just sits atop the skin the entire time. When I use her Vitamin Enriched Face Base it sinks (absorbs) into the skin. My skin feels nourished and hydrated. I even apply her Vitamin Enriched Face Base on my lips, neck and shoulders. My mom uses it every single day and loves it. So, this just didn't work for me. Below is a deluxe sample I received. I decided to try it again (in case I was hallucinating the first time I tried it HaHaHa) and my feelings are the same. So I thought I should write this review. I believe in reviewing the good, bad and ugly. Others want to hear your opinion before purchasing a product. I know that's what I look for :)
