Fruit Junkie

Let's talk about... I know you guys are saying, Kim sure loves talking about food. HaHaHa I Do! But lately many of the fashion campaigns and editorials have incorporated food into their spreads. No pun intended. Well that brings me to today's topic... Summer Treats! What are yours?

Below is a Spring 2012 ad campaign for Aldo Shoes. It features model Anais Puiliot. Terry Richardson is the photographer. The stylist is Sabrina Schreder.

STOP being a Junk-Food Junkie! That would be a good weight loss campaign huh? LOL I should've gone into Marketing instead of Science! It's much more fun! HaHa I've been trying to incorporate less junk food in my diet and more au naturalle stuff like FRUIT (see my pics below). I've been eating pears, bananas, fresh strawberries, bought some Kellogg's Smart Start Cereal (it's good...oat clusters + flakes + add sliced fruit over it = YUM) and THEN I came across Kraft's Philadelphia Indulgences. That literally threw me for a FRUIT LOOP! Have you guys seen it or tried it? SINful! It comes in milk, dark and white chocolate. You can dip your fruit and anything else in it. It looks sooo good! They have the tub and smaller containers. Here's the nutritional value...HaHaHa!

Does your diet change when the seasons change? Mine does. Gosh it's like 80 degrees here in NOLA right now. A popsicle or snowball would be good right now. HaHaHa!  I also have sandals on the brain. LOL I never heard of Aldo (until this campaign), but they have some cute sandals. The 1st one reminds me of Neapolitan Ice Cream w/MINT LOL. I know...I know...FOOD! Watch the super short 16 second video below. I love the slow motion of how she drops the popsicle in the video. Mine would never do that, because it would've been EATEN! LOL Have a Great Thursday Everybody!

  1. These are cool. Love the colours. I don't have a diet really. I eat whatever, lol. No, I eat lots of fruit/vegetables anytime of year, which fruit is what changes during the year due to what's it season. I love fruit though, strawberries yum!!Not tried the Phili yet, looks good though. I had the one with sweet chili in it and that was fab, will have to try the chocolate one now :))) Hope you have a fab day!! x

  4. I think getting in the out of the junk food habit can be quite hard, but once you do and start eating more healthy foods (fruits/veggies) your body starts to crave those things when you lack having it in your diet. This winter we have been quite fortunate to find good fruits even during the winter months and ironically Oranges have been quite fantastic at Target. Strange but true!

Love the shoes! Aldo and I have a love/hate relationship. Love the looks of their shoes, but I'm a half size and find it very, very difficult to wear any of there shoes unless they are open toed. I can't go up a size as I have AA narrow feet!

  8. Hey Kim! Oh man, I want a new pair of shoes now! And holy crap, that Philadelphia chocolate dip sounds amazing. I've never heard of it, AND I'm going grocery shopping today which MEANS I may have to pick some up! Haha. Although I should stick to dipping fruit in it, since I gained some weight in the process of moving. I love food too much! ;)

  9. Aldo is seriously one of my favorites!! I see a few pairs here that are gorgeous...so unfortunately I need to inform my husband that we need to go shopping this weekend. I'll blame you. LOL!
And great...now I'm thinking about dipping strawberries and pretzels into chocolate. It's not even 9am. You're killing me Kim!!! :-)

    Have a great day friend!

  10. Junk food literally makes me sick. My body is not used to digesting it anymore, so anytime I eat it I feel really ill. That's probably a good thing. Haha.

  11. Wow, that's a lot of bananas! :) Got to check Aldo's new collection soon, haven't been on their website for a while.
By the way, please don't eat Kellogs if you really want to take care of your health. Best to stick with regular organic porridge and add a handful of frozen blueberries (or a chopped banana since we are on a banana topic today) to it. MUCH better. :D

  13. I eat low carb and low sugar and it isn't necessarily a diet anymore, but a lifestyle change (and a good one although I had a lot of great flatbread and dips tonight!) Ooh the Philly flavors sound awesome!

Aldo was definitely a shoe store for my college years and still has cute styles!

  32. I'm always talking about food too, which could be why I love this post I get to talk about my favorite summer treat! which is strawberry shortcake, if it didn't promise to make me fat I would eat it morning, noon and night hehe.

Aldo has such a fun campaign but it's making me crave ice cream, there I go again...

  33. Mmmm I love fruits and these ads are stellar. I don't eat much fruit in the winter because I usually relate fruit to being cold. That's weird. I change a lot of what I eat by season, I can't really eat salad in the winter!

  56. Never heard of Aldo? Grrrrrrl, you've been missin out!! I DIE over their shoes & I've also bought several of their purses over the years as well (carrying a red one today, in fact!). BUT, I'm definitely a bargain shopper so I don't think I've ever paid full price for their stuff. We have an outlet store here plus their regular store close to me has a pretty good clearance section.
