Let's Mix It Up!
Let's talk about pattern mixing today! How do you feel about it? Honestly before fashion blogging, I would've NEVER mixed patterns. I just thought that was a "fashion no-no rule", that was not to be broken. But thanks to blogging, I think it's pretty cool now!

Love the fun pattern mixing in this editorial! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm easing into pattern mixing - something that can go very wrong easily so I stick to similar or complementary colours and minimal prints.

Really like the editorial - the models are so beautiful! Personally, I don't mix. I hardly ever wear patterns, but when I do it's either on top or the bottom, never both and never mixed. Just not my thing, I guess. :)

It's funny, I never thought about pattern mixing before blogging either, and I'm still working on incorporating it into my own wardrobe. I like how this spread combined big and small prints together.
ReplyDeleteGreat post!
ReplyDeleteI love your blog. Shall we be followers?
If so, leave your link in my comments box so that I can follow you back.

I don't generally do a whole lot of pattern mixing but I always adore stripes and polka dots. But since the majority of my wardrobe is solid, not a whole lot going on there :)
ReplyDeleteOoh I love how these people mix patterns! I used to when I was younger, but I haven't for a while. Maybe I should get back into it.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you're ok! xo

I've tried it but certainly not in bold prints like these! First of all I don't even really have many big, bright, bold prints so mixing them together hasn't happened. The trend still scares me a little but I really like it on other people!
ReplyDeleteLove the eye make up on this girls, I've always wondered if it's only doable in asian eyes cause it never looks like that on me.
ReplyDeleteI need to be braver about pattern mixing!!!
ReplyDeleteHi sweetheart, how have you been, sorry for being so absent...my blogger dashboard hasn't been updating :( No idea whats wrong. Onto this amazing editorial...I wish I could rock this! Pattern mixing is so bold and interesting, I would like to try it out sometime.

Love the photos you have shown Kim! I haven't really tried it myself to be honest although the last photo mix of stripes and pattern looks appealing:)

I love the way they wear mixed patterns. Unfortunately I don't think I have the ability to make it work haha.
ReplyDeleteGreat editorial Kim! Fashion blogging has introduced me to lots of different ideas - I never would have considered clashing prints before either!
ReplyDeleteHi Kim,
ReplyDeleteI'm bringing out my confetti...why? Because YOU'RE BACK!!!!
You were so missed the days you weren't blogging. So welcome back darling. Pattern mixing I'm still trying to warm up to on a personal level but I really like the examples you've used here. Very well done. :)
Thanks for the blog comment and visit sweets and thanks for co-signing on my post. SJP sure broke my heart with that "LHP" gown.

I like how well these patterns are mixed. I, myself, do not think I could do it.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a huge fan of fashion mixing. It's too busy for me...but it's rocking on these outfits ;)
ReplyDeleteFor a while I would NEVER mix patterns either. I was always a very matchy dresser, but it definitely grew on me. This editorial is a great example of how great it can look though! As long as you can do it successfully. Great post, lady! xx

Kim: long time no see but I am glad you took a little break to enjoy yourself and spend time with you mama on her birthday.
ReplyDeleteThese pattern mixing looks fun. I am not very adventurous when it comes to wearing prints, let alone one piece at a time. I think if done right an end result will look good.
I love this editorial so much!!! The models and the clothes are just perfect. HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIM!!! I wish you the best.Kisses from www.stylepicture.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteHi Kim,
ReplyDeleteI always dared to try new things but, mixing patterns is a really hot trend right now. I love these images.
Thanks so much for sharing.
Always,
Tarah and the City
Well, these models have been styled beautifully and they look marvelous in their mixed patterns. Humans like me with no stylists have a harder time. I think I did ok when I tried it with similar colors, but the last attempt was laughable. I don't really think it's for me, but I appreciate it on others!

I like it. I wish I had more prints to actually mix, tho, aside from stripes and florals!
ReplyDelete[oomph.]
I like it. But, I guess it has to be the right patterns or it would annoy me to wear, haha!! But, I love these, they are gorgeous!! The last one is something I would definitely wear ;))Marvelous!! I do remember when it was a no no and people would look at you strange if you did it, good to see it's catching on - us creative ones were doing it long time ago, haha!! ;) xx
