So I come back from my Texas trip (don't worry I have plenty of pics to post for you later this week) to watch the pomp and circumstance of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. Specifically, the Diamond Jubilee River Pageant that was held on the Thames River Sunday.Did anybody else watch it? On tv? In person? I'm so jealous if you saw it in person (well maybe not, because it was pouring down raining and windy). HaHa They must only have 2 mos. of Summer I swear! Ok, I digress. Let me get to the point...
OMG'd!!! Did Kate Middleton steal the show or what in that haute super red Alexander McQueen dress, red clutch and Strathearn tartan scarf? I thought she looked gorgeous. Red is definitely her color. Do you think the Queen and Camilla were jealous? She showed up everybody!
What are your thoughts? I think Kate's fashion sense just gets better and better. What is UP with Camilla's hat? Let me STOP! I'm so bad. LOL

I'm pretty sure I have an unhealthy obsession with Kate. She is just so LOVELY- that's the best way to describe her. I love that she's always smiling, she just seems so happy all the time. We could really use more of that in this world. Oh, and of course I love the way she dresses. She looks absolutely gorgeous here.

ReplyDeleteI've found it interesting that Kate isn't getting the legendary celeb status that Diana did. Remember how back in the day Diana was such a huge figure? Perhaps because she was so into high fashion and did things out of the norm. But I feel like today we have SO MANY celebs (with reality tv stars and whatnot) that people aren't as interested in the royal family as they used to be. I find that very interesting...and sad. I'd rather people be obsessed with a princess like Kate rather than a nobody like Kim K.

You know I was watching it here, haha!! Would have been fun to be there, but I've been down there around the time of another of these things and it's not always so pleasant, so many people and stuff. Watching on tv is more enjoyable!! We had no rain up here, haha. But, that's usually how it goes, one gets sun & the other gets a bit of rain. Her dress was amazing, loved it too!! And thanks for saying Tartan and not plaid, hahahaha!! Wouldn't mind that outfit myself ;) Hope you are doing fab doll, I look forward to the pictures!! xx

Her dress sense is always demure, polished and elegant. Says a lot about the person. I bet she doesn't take all this fashion thing too seriously but it's part of her "job" now.
