It's a FREE, ONLINE publication that is produced monthly. You can find Matchbook on Facebook, Twitter, and also Tumblr. It was founded by Katie Armour and Jane Lily Warren and their very first publication came out in 2011. So as you can see it is fairly new.
Unlike larger publications, Matchbook focuses on both small and large businesses. This month's issue (July 2012) features an in-depth interview with ModCloth's founder Susan Koger. How many large publications actually do that!?! I am such a fan of ModCloth (and I know you are too) and found this interview to be exquisite! Last month's issue featured Cynthia Rowley. Let me just show you some other topics this magazine covers.
Matchbook magazine always give you a great calendar that gives you important dates, events, and holidays!
They cover the latest trends, styles and colors! For example, the Christian Louboutin book and Rebecca Minkoff bag below.
Matchbook magazine is not filled with fluff. It's a magazine that makes you think! They always give you insight into the lives of popular people from both past and present.
For book lovers, they recommend and suggest popular reads!
Do you like gadgets? They inform you as to what's the latest and greatest in technology.
Love to cook? They give you tasty recipes to learn, extraordinary cookware to use and they even talk about really cool table linen.
Are you a Beauty-holic? This month, they're talking about Deborah Lippman nail lacquer. :)
What I really love is their focus on Women Entrepreneurship! They really support women with businesses and encourage them. Who knows! They may do a story on YOU one day! :)
And last but not least! I love the Matchbook Girl Mantra!
I've never heard of this magazine Kim but it looks so cool and I love all the fashion and how it's about supporting women. Love how you say you're not endorsed by it at the top of the post too, makes it even more genuine :)

Love Matchbook, it has some really interesting reads in there!! And I think everyone is a matchbook girl in their own way :)) It's great to see women doing their thing and being successful too! I sit there for a good time and have a read of their issues and I love that it's free online, there are very few mags that do that these days or they only let you read back issues for free to get you to buy the new ones, so this is a treat :)) And Modcloth is always fantastic, love that place :)) Hope you have a super day doll, tomorrow is when I try to see the Queen, I hope I don't get run over by people, hahaha!! :))
ReplyDeleteI am fairly obsessed with this magazine, it's definitely my online favorite! They always have the most beautiful, interesting and stylish features!

I've been reading it on and off since the very first issue came out. The only reason why I don't do it on a regular basis is because I like my glossies printed - I've never been a read-online-pdf-etc kinda girl... :)
