Well she's featured this month in a fashion editorial entitled "The Dark Glamour of Gucci". It's the November 2012 edition of Harper's Bazaar Korea magazine and it was lensed by Michael Schwartz. Black, leather, feathers, floral and lace, makeup these "dark" fashions!
Speaking of DARK and BLACK! When I cleaned out my closet a couple of weeks ago, I discovered I had a SEA of black! None of the pieces in my closet had the depth like these fine garments. I call what I have...FLAT BLACK! HaHaHa This shoot really gave me some ideas. Black does not have to be FLAT! Add some depth to it!
Have you shaken up the black pieces in your closet? DO tell! Have a nice weekend everybody!
How do you WAKE and SHAKE UP YOUR Black!
very inspiring vampy photos!
ReplyDeleteP.S.congrats on your being in IFB links a la mode this October!
Thanks for stopping by! I indeed know debi! :D
ReplyDeleteAnd lovely pictures. I loved how they had this dark effect to them, but were still so glamourous as you said.
I in fact think I wear black too often! :D So it is definitely a go to thing!
I'm now subscribing to your blog!

Those black outfits are amazing, I love wearing black as you can really let the texture "do the talking" and that's something quite elegant... Have a lovely weekend xo
ReplyDeleteShe looks amazing here! Her hair in the last shot is stunning :)
ReplyDeleteShe is growing on me, but I cannot say I am a huge fan... still like her, but not love, if you see what I mean.
ReplyDeleteYou know, all my blacks (so very few of those1) are still hanging in a wardrobe... Maybe I'll get them out later, in a month or so... :)
Have a beautiful day!

I read so many less magazines since I've started blogging - I find a lot more inspiration from the fabulous real women on the internet, I have to say :) So this is my first run in with Lindsey Wixson but she does look pretty amazing. I mean, who could argue with all of these gorgeous black ensembles? Not me, that's for sure! I love wearing black on black, I never feel like it needs waking or shaking - it is the simplest form of elegance to me :)
ReplyDeletexox,
Cee
Love her pout :)
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend dear Kim,
Ax
Interesting issue my dear!I try to be more colourful, because I like especially pastel-coloured outfits, but in the end my F/W closet is always PACKED with BLACK. I perk it up with scarves, bangles, and the like, but I don't give up on it, because I find black extremely elegant and versatile. As shown by the wide range of fabrics and reflections displayed in the photoshoot, it doesn't have to be flat. I love black. kisses my love. Coco
ReplyDeleteShe's so pretty and so, so tall! She is a great model and I love these pictures! I love wearing black and I can't help get it out when it starts getting colder!
ReplyDeleteShe is beautiful! When I wear all black, I try to add texture like fur or feathers to give it some pizazz. Have a wonderful weekend. Heather
ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty. She definitely has that certain mix that is very unique and interesting.
ReplyDeleteI'll have ALL of these thank you!! They are marvellous. I love wearing black. I have feathers like these ones, gives me an idea :) I think black is so beautiful and rich, goes well with deep colours like burgundy and gold which I'm loving at the moment, green too :) Amazing photos. Have a gorgeous weekend doll, hope it's a fun one for you :) <3
ReplyDeletethose textured black pieces are amazing! I really like that last picture :) The cover photo and the feather jacket freak me out a little for some reason - I bet they are really soft though :)

Ooh I want a feathered cape or skirt please! Accessories could really make a black outfit pop!

I agree, she's got a great look that seems like it could be very edgy or very sweet. Her lips are bigger than Angelina's! I'm jealous :D Cool pics.
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning editorial! I think adding textures to black outfits give them more interest! Hope you have a great weekend! :)

What a stunningly chic editorial. She is such a beautiful girl. Although I'll admit I didn't even know she existed until today lol.
ReplyDeleteI tend to wear a LOT of black during the winter. Black dresses and skirts and boots. It's like my go-to winter color. Now I want to give it some depth! ;)
Kim, my sweety...you must see Dark Shadows...ignore the reviews of it...it's your movie, haha :) I absolutely loved it...might watch it again sometime :) Made me laugh :))) A lot of the leaves have turned to mush now, but I got lucky with that tree :))) I love love that colour when they turn to it. Thank you so much for your precious comment, they keep me blogging - for real! Some days I feel like stopping, especially when I'm bombarded with 'follow me's and cheap one word comments, haha. It gets exhausting, but yours are always a joy!! And you never fail to brighten my day :))) DO do do watch this movie & let me know when you do as well :))) And if you can get the BBC, watch out for a drama show called 'Paradise or 'The Paradise' as I've seen it called in somethings...you will LOVE it!! Am addicted to it, haha! One more episode of the season to go for me next week, I can hardly wait & Downton will be on it's last episode here as well, you will enjoy that season too. Have to wait until the new Year for Game of Thrones, I need new movies/books/tv shows to hold me over until then, hahaha!! Have a gorgeous weekend doll!! Love you too <3
ReplyDeleteNow you're talking my language! I love this spread. I've been dying for a feather jacket like that. How chic! You know me though, I love all black everything!
ReplyDeleteLoving these photos!

I've shaken up the black pieces in my closet just by buying more color, lol. I have a lot of "flat black" as well, so the next time I see something in black (and only in black), I will make sure it has some sort of detail or texture to it.
ReplyDeleteI love all these photos! So much inspiration!

I am awful when it comes to recognizing models and such, and I've never even heard of her, but she has a very striking face. And I love the red accents with the black!

Oehh great pictures! Wonderful inspiration <3
ReplyDeleteLove these textures- and the reminder to try out some dark berry lipstick. Btw, I just read your post on disappearing bloggers and I laughed out loud! I definitely understand the disappearing blogger effect- I was almost one of them, but luckily realized that blogging makes me happy and I don't want to let it go- even if it is hard to find the time sometimes!
ReplyDeleteThe feather jacket is exquisite!
ReplyDeleteI'm just starting out, please check out my blog and follow if you like :)
Have a great weekend!!

Wow. Very sexy. I own a lot of black clothes, but don't have all these lacy details. Yes, I'd absolutely like to shape up my blacks.

ReplyDeleteWoah...she is so fierce in the last look, this is a great display of the darker goth type of style for the season, I was pleasantly surprised by all the feathers too! PS thanks for your comment....wishing you a wonderful weekend ahead!

Oh my goodness, she is just STUNNING! I never noticed her before, but she definitely demands attention now :)
ReplyDeleteHaha, I have a lot of "flat" black pieces. Bleh. Need to fix that now ;)

Hiya doll, So sweet. I shall be posting yours too :) Yes, say the value is less than $10 and has no commercial value and mark it as a gift. I think that's what my husband said to do, as the last package I got, I had to pay in order to receive it and the amount I had to pay was more than what was actually in it, hahaha! I will check with my husband as he sends a lot of things for work. But, I believe that's what you write on the slip :)) Have a sweet weekend doll xxx
ReplyDeleteWow, this is amazing! *,*

Ooh even her name has a vixen vibe to it- Wixson haha. I love black, I chuckled a little when I read how you described yours as 'flat black'. These pictures are beautiful, so I guess I should be adding a little more sheer, lace and feathers to my own black collection.

ReplyDeleteit's been a while since I truly loved a vampy editorial, but this is the one! Lindsey looks fantastic, I wasn't sure about her look when she first started out, but am loving her more now that I've seen her do other things.

Have a great weekend.
Love the black Dresses! The last Picture is my Favorit :)

These are fabulous! I have many flat black items, too. Nothing with feather! Yet.
ReplyDeleteKim I was thinking about you this morning when I tried some new cupcakes (dark chocolate and guiness beer) they were really nice.
ReplyDeleteI never heard about that model before, but the editorial is amazing. Im like you, no many black pieces on my closet, I will have to get some ones.

I don't think I have as much black in my closet as I used to, but I like the thought of "un-flattening" whatever black remains in my closet:p ... oh, and following you now, for sure:)

ReplyDeletei love the red lips nest to all that black!
