Congratulations Cambria!
Look for an email from me later today!
Hi Everybody! I wanted to fill you in with what has been going on with me. I haven't blogged or commented this week, because I've been very ill and subsequently came down with a horrible ear infection (I couldn't hear out of my left ear, which was scary. I had a high temperature. And not being able to hear throws your entire equilibrium off.). I've been back and forth to the hospital all week, seeing doctors and specialists.
The ear specialist that treated me, Dr. Richard A. Spector, was THE BEST. I've never met a nicer doctor. He didn't rush in his evaluation. He truly cared and sympathized about my ordeal. He has the cutest pics in his examination room (cafe au lait and beignets etc.). He is so SMART (MD, Juris Doctor, Professor). He's amazing and I would highly recommend him to anyone. I can hear normally now, so that made me feel better. I'm still not 100%, but I'm getting there. I just wanted you guys to know.
On a somber note, legendary American jazz pianist Dave Brubeck passed. I loved his rendition of the song "My Favorite Things". I really enjoy listening and playing it during the holidays. I've always been a big fan of instrumental renditions of songs.
An apple a day, keeps the doctor away!?! Hmmm, maybe I should've eaten more apples this year!!! Because I've definitely seen enough doctors. This blog post layout is definitely not me, but this is the best i can do right now.
Have a great weekend everybody and I hope to be back to blogging Monday. Stay Healthy! xoxo Kim

ReplyDeleteAw, so sorry to hear you're feeling under the weather, Kim! There's no worse way to start the holiday season than in doctors' offices, but it sounds at least like you got some great care from some real professionals - you're a lucky lady! Hope that you're over the worst of it now and are on the mend :)

Sorry to hear you've been poorly - me to- but on the mend now, and hope you are too. My mum had an infection on the balance nerve in her ear once, it was awful, so I understand if you have been upside down literally.

Poor Kim, i am sorry to hear you had a terrible ear infection. I totally hate it when my little one had one. One time she had "double" ear infection which means both ears!!!! Cant imagibe how painful for a little body who couldn't really communicate yet. So glad to hear you are getting better abd have found a great doctor. Being sick really turns our world upside down. Thank you for the update too Kim, not seeing your post daily leave me with strange feeling.
ReplyDeleteKim, I'm so sorry to hear that you have not been well. Ear problems really are horrible. I hope you feel better after a restful weekend.
ReplyDeletePS The cartoon made me smile!

Oh Kim, I hope you are feeling better now. That sounds so scary. I got a nasty cold over Thanksgiving, followed up by a stomach virus, and it was absolutely no fun.
ReplyDeleteOn another note, I was sad to hear about Dave Brubeck too. He is from the area I live in, and even has a park dedicated to him. Plus, Take 5 is a classic.
