All I want for Christmas is Christy Turlington's genes! HaHaHa She's 43, the mother of 2 and gosh she looks just as good now as she did in the 80's. Christy appears in the January 2013 edition of Vogue France. She's dressed head to toe in black leather, lace, tulle & super fun tights. Photographer's Inez and Vinoodh truly capture the essence of Christy's beauty, charm and all of the fabulous designs she wears. Don't you think some people have both inner and outer beauty? I always felt Christy had that. But there's MORE to Christy than just beauty! Did you know she's a Humanitarian? She founded Every Mother Counts, which brings awareness, education and support regarding global maternal mortality reduction. She experienced a difficult pregnancy herself and so the cause is very dear to her heart. Christy is just an exemplary woman. My fellow blogger buddy-ista, Natalia of Fashioned by Love blog, surfaced some vintage footage of Christy Turlington from her supermodel days. I truly enjoyed watching all of them. It reminded me how awesome an individual and exemplary a woman Christy is. You should definitely take a look at those videos when you have time. Have a great Tuesday everybody! Seeing these beautiful photos of Christy in French Vogue made me really nostalgic for the true supermodels of the 90s; these were strong, beautiful women who embraced their power in business that came from their unique combination of looks and brains. The fashion industry is a different place now and sadly, most of the models are so young that we'll never know if they might develop into these kind of women and frankly, I think the industry is worse for it. She's always been stunning...seriously! I still love her in the Freedom video :) Love all of these :) Kim, you don't need to rush in sending me anything, I am still gathering. I'm so indecisive, haha. I see one thing, then I see another! Plus, the streets here are crap right now and it's made me behind. I twisted my ankle on Saturday, it's really bruised, I swear I'm a walking disaster, so that's slowed me down. So, please don't worry, I rather you rest and get better, it sounds terrible and never apologise for coming round late to my blog, that's not important. She is a decade older than me but she looks so young. In fact, i dont think her appearance has changed any since i spotted her in commercial ages ago. Some women are just lucky to have good gene and look forever young.

One of my favorite models ever and I love that she's out there trying to make a difference. Living in New York, I saw Christy Turlington on the street many years ago and recently again this past summer. She's just as beautiful as ever and even better she seems very down to earth. I think we could hang with her Kim :)
