Jurlique's Intense Recovery Mask, comes in a tube that's sealed. To open it, you puncture the seal by using the cap on the end of the tube. The mask itself is thick, rich, and creamy. I would describe the color as clay. It looks and feels like a mud mask.
This mask was cool to the touch and soothing when I applied it to my skin. It felt really good. The directions stated to leave it on for 10 minutes. So I set my ice cream cone timer...What? You don't have an ice cream cone timer? (google ice cream cone timer, there are plenty on the web)... Food is incorporated into every aspect of my life. Even beauty! HaHaHa So I set my ice cream cone timer and waited for the mask to dry. What I really liked about this mask compared to others I've used, was that once it dried, it didn't flake or crack. When you wash the mask off, use a warm damp cloth. Using your hands will not suffice. My skin had a healthy glow afterwards and felt very supple to the touch. It's too soon to make a call on the fine lines, but I'm very pleased with the results so far. Jurlique recommends you use this mask once a week.
Sweet-Bittersweet-Not Sweet
Jurlique's Intense Recovery Mask is SWEET!
Cons: None.Ok, I'll think of one. You'll look like Rambo's girlfriend camouflaged for 10 minutes due to the color, but it's well worth it once you're finished the process. HaHaHa

Ooo the mask sounds great! With the way our weather has been going, my skin has been EXTRA dry and it's been driving me crazy! This product sounds like it'll help that a lot. Oh! And I love the Rambo's girlfriend camo comment! hahaha...

sounds great!!
ReplyDeleteSounds fantastic and for some reason - I have no clue why - I always think a green-coloured face mask is good for my skin. Might have something to do with some sort of clay masks a used to use about a million years ago... :-) xo
ReplyDeleteGreat Post!
ReplyDeleteLoving this !

Oh goodness, I just left you such a long, thoughtful and enthusiastic comment and blogger seems to have eaten it :( Suffice it to say that I'm so impressed by the Jurlique products you've reviewed so far, your skin looks so bright in these photos and after only one use of the mask, too! They obviously deliver on their promises!

I love masks..haha. I could sit in one all day, I love the way my skin feels after a light scrub and a moisture mask after, so nice. I'm glad this worked as well. Did it have a smell or just smell like clay and that's it?? Some of those masks have scents to them that either annoy you or are quite pleasant. Fantastic review doll. Hope you have a super day xx

Okay miss Kim, you got me interested in this brand enough for me to want some of my own. I ordered a box of Age Prevention kit from Sephora and received it yesterday. One comment, they smell kind of herbal /earthy not sure whether all their products smell like that. Not bad but very different. Cant wait to see what they can do for my skin. Thanks for introducibg the good stuff Kim.

Just thinking about drying face masks is making me crawl, the cracking & dry skin afterward kills me! I had no idea masks like this existed! So fantastic! & Definitely worth a look :)

OMG, I haven't used a mask on myself in ages. So need to take better care of this skin. I think I could live with the Rambo girlfriend look for 10 minutes. No pain, no gain. Thanks for sharing chica and Happy Hump Day!
ReplyDeleteOf course you have an ice cream timer! I would expect no less!
ReplyDelete"Rambo's girlfriend," haha! I don't have dry skin, but this sounds pretty good, and I do love masks. I do a once a week a nice deep cleansing mask, that works for me. Thanks for sharing this Kim. xx/Madison
ReplyDeleteKim, Jurlique is such a great brand, I'm glad it's working for you. Now you have me wanting an ice cream timer for my kitchen! Seriously how cute is that?
ReplyDeletexo Mary Jo
Such a cute timer! Hey Kim, if I ever buy these products, I will definitely click on your link. I'm hoping to find Jurlique here in Vancouver first since I don't want to pay shipping and taxes. :)

Ooh, thank you for sharing! You look so cute with your Rambo camo (though honestly, your skin looks so good I don't think you really need this)!
ReplyDeleteI love the sound of the mask and I absolutely love your ice cream cone timer, it's amazing! I sometimes suffer from dryness too, especially in the winter. I usually use Ren's Glycolactic Radiance Renewal mask which although doesn't make my skin brighter, it really makes it plump and moisturised! I might try the jurlique one next time though :) xx
ReplyDeleteAlmost Delightful
Aw what I really love is your ice cream cone timer!

So glad you are enjoying the candies and chocolates!! I eat those all the time! The candies are made in the little town next to where I live. There is a big park that sets next to the factory and in the summer it smells amazing as the heat and wind blow the aromas of all the sweets everywhere, I love it! Chocolate is better in the UK, I've noticed that!! Really pleased you're enjoying & I look forward to the post :)))) I am having a great week doll, I hope you are too!! xxxx ((hugs))
ReplyDeleteThis mask sounds FANTASTIC. Especially since there appear to be no real cons. Hehe. ;)
