Jurlique Rose Hand Cream Product Review

You can always tell the age of a person by looking at their hands and neck! Have you heard that saying? I use to laugh at it, but as I get older I'm finding it to be true! HaHaHa We often neglect those two areas. Without proper hydration & moisture, skin WILL dry, crease, wrinkle and age faster.

You're probably saying, "Well I use body lotion! Isn't that enough?". The answer is NO. You usually apply body lotion right after you've had a shower or bath. What happens when you use and wash your hands throughout the day? The lotion comes off. It's no longer on your skin! Your skin is no longer protected.

Besides that, hand cream is specifically formulated to be thicker, moisturize and give your skin extra protection. That's why everyone should have hand cream available at all times. Keep it in your purse, work area and bathroom. Now get ready to LAUGH!

Who's the BIGGEST culprit of NOT using hand cream? ME! What's sad is I know better! I use the hell out of hand sanitizer, but not hand cream! After taking a picture of my hand, I will from this point on use hand cream! LOL

My Review: I Tested Jurlique Rose Hand Cream and Love It!

Pros: The rose scent is very soft (and I'm not big on scents). The hand cream is smooth, creamy and rich. It absorbed completely into my skin. It was not greasy or oily. Let me re-iterate! It was NOT greasy or oily. It did not leave a film or residue. My hands felt soft to the touch and hydrated. The skin on my hand looked like it had an immediate face-lift (see the pictures below). I would definitely purchase this hand cream for myself.

Cons: The price tag (well, I thought)! I received the 40ml size which costs $25. Jurlique also has a 125ml tube which costs $49. But when you think about all the good ingredients that are in it (Vitamin E, Carrot Root Extract, Aloe Vera, Safflower Seed Oil and Macadamia Oil) and also the fact that a little goes a long way (a quarter size is enough to moisturize both hands), it's worth it.

I did a little comparative pricing on high end hand creams and found the following: Ahava ($28), Chloe ($30), La Prairie ($105), Clinique ($35), Clarins ($30), Shiseido ($24). So the price really isn't bad! HaHaHa The container the hand cream comes in gets a little crumpled after each use. Eventually, you will have to roll it from the bottom to get what product is left out of it. I think aesthetically, Jurlique should switch to another container.

The picture above is after just ONE application! In sunlight! No flash! No altering or photoshop!
I couldn't believe the difference. Trust me, I'm a novice photographer!
I even took a video outside with a white background.

  4. Great review and spot on. As I've mentioned before I've used their hand cream - Lavendar one time and time again because it really does do the job!
Think it's a little cheaper at the airports (duty free) and maybe other countries - have a feeling it's an aussie brand?

  7. I'm terrible - I have several hand creams yet constantly forget to use them - maybe if they were lovely rose-scented ones I wouldn't... ;-) Great review. xo

  9. Thank you for such a great review, Kim! The only thing I'd add is that the other creams you checked aren't as natural and pure as this one and many contains parabens (a huge no-no for me). And I actually like the packaging. I just wonder if their face creams come in glass or plastic - can't remember... Would love to try this one some time. x

  11. So glad you love it! I really like my little tube too :) I found the same - absorbs really quickly and nicely.

The gloves are great maybe I should do that in the evenings! In winter I really need handcream as my skin on my hands gets so dry. Summer I'm a bit more relaxed about it - probably as I'm drinking more water!

  17. This is the only product from Jurlique I've ever tried and I totally agree with your review Kim! It's very emollient without being heavy or greasy. I used to skimp on hand cream after washing my hands as well. It's so true that we definitely must care for our hands cause they do show our age.

  22. I will have to try this. Like you, i dont pamper my hands the way they deserve. I wash my hands a lot not to mention when cooking and washing dishes (and cleaning my daughter). My hands are dry as hell. Thank you for a review Kim.

  23. Once again we are totally in sync, I have been thinking about buying a hand cream instead of normal lotion because of how dry it has been lately. I will check this out!

  24. I'm a fan of their hand creams and agree that they are totally non-greasy and are easily absorbed which I find a real plus. Also true - the tube does seem to last a long time. Great review, Kim.

  25. I've always been a fan of natural cosmetic products. In fact I use Jurliques age delay line for my face and eyes. Their hand creams are so luxurious, I especially love the rose scent. Aside from Jurlique I've also found Loccitaine and Khiels hand creams to be super velvety and hydrating. Excellent review Kim!

  28. Sounds like a great product Kim! I'm not big on hand lotions often because I feel greasy, even if like all reviews say it doesn't, for some reason, any lotion while I'm typing creeps me out!

  35. Great review. :) For most of my life, I never had problems with dry skin or dry hands. Then last year, of all times, I started getting really dry hands. It was so weird. I've been using stuff from Avon that works, but this lotion seems fancier and more luxurious. If I had a real job, I'd buy it. Lol.

  45. I carry a handcream with me all the time but forget to use it most of the time :) this one seems nice, I can see the heavy texture of it which is great for a hand cream.

  46. I am definitely a hand cream user and do have favourites that I love. A must for cold climate. I have La Prairie as a gift and like it. I have tried Jurlique, but first heard about it from a friend a while ago. This one seems to be great for you. Thanks for the review! :)/Madison

  48. Hiya doll!! This looks marvellous! I love hand creams and try to use them everyday as I noticed my hands were looking tired. I also use cream on my neck, so important! The difference from one application was amazing. And I agree with you, creams in tubes are not easy to get out once it gets to the bottom, I end up cutting it open to use the rest, haha. I want my money's worth, haha ;) This was a fantastic review!! Have a sweet day doll xx
