Lancome has announced a collaboration with Lanvin designer Alber Elbaz. Last year, he did a fabulous collaboration with Laduree. Remember those chic Laduree macaron boxes (Click HERE to see)? Well now the designer is delving into makeup! He and Lancome are putting together a limited edition collection, that will feature brightly hued eye-shadows and lipsticks. I can only imagine the packaging! I always get sucked in by the packaging. His collection will come to fruition June 15th (globally), so mark your calendars. Love the video below! I'm a sucker for illustration too. HaHaHa
Speaking of Lancome, they also partnered with Emma Watson for their Spring 2013 collection. You can find it HERE. Loved her makeup in this picture. Looks so FRESH and SPRING-Y! I put together pictures of the collection below, so you can see the colors. I've only used Lancome mascara (really liked their Hypnose Star - Click HERE) in the past. Has anyone tried their makeup line (blush, lipstick, nail polish)? If so, let me know your thoughts in my comment section. Your opinions are helpful to me and others! Thanks!
Those all look gorgeous and the colours make me long for Spring. I've only ever used the Lancôme mascara, so no help from me, sorry ;-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun collaboration!!! I've always been a fan of Alber Elbaz, especially at Lanvin! <3
ReplyDeleteOooo I can't wait for Spring to come (my fav season). All those pretty pastels and fun colors to come!
ReplyDeleteI love using Lancome products and their blushes are SO pretty. :) I would buy mostly their skincare products (Genifique for eyes and face) and their toner. But I also bought some of their makeup products as well. I have tried a few of their hypnose mascaras and it has been okay for me. My favorite though is their Artliner liquid eyeliner. Hands down the best and I used to hate liquid eyeliner!
I would say overall they have good makeup products and I can't really complain. I have a couple of their lip products but I haven't really used them enough to say how they are really.

Very exciting. I am looking forward to the Lanvin partnership. I've kind of felt that Lancome was getting a bit borning, but this will sure spice things up!
ReplyDeleteI adore Lanvin! This might be one collaboration I actually splurge on!

lol cute vid. and thanks for reminding me im broke haha.. these look so pretty!!
ReplyDeleteOh, this is too funny - I'm putting together a very similar post in another browser window right now! I hoy the press release about the Lancome x Alber Elbaz collaboration yesterday and I've been over the moon ever since - my favourite designer and my first love in make-up coming together is my little fashionista dream come true! I hadn't seen the Emma Watson collection, though; must investigate more thoroughly :)
ReplyDeletexox,

As soon as I saw the announcement yesterday I thought that finally every girl would get a chance to have some Lanvin in her life wihout spending a fortune. :) I know H&M collaboration was out there before, but it was still quite expensive while a lipstick or eye shadows in a pretty box would fit most budgets. :)
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to seeing the packaging and colours. I hope they'll do nail polishes as I am not into bright shadows or lipsticks (don't suit me).
Lancome-wise, I used to use their products - mascara, a couple of perfumes, eye shadows and Juicy Tubes, but eventually stopped because I switched to something else, more natural. Lancome is one of the very first beauty brands I've ever got introduced to - talking Isabella Rossellini ads time, so it'll always have place in my heart even if I don't use the products.

Kim! First off, thank you so much for your kind comment to my other blog, Parasol Dreams! :) You're right about Lizzy...she's real and beautiful all at once!
ReplyDeleteThis post was divine! Sigh...and Emma really does rock that blue eyeliner! I personally adore her. She's sexy, but not cheap at all. She's kept up the glamorous image which I usually only see well played by older women. But she's great at it, despite her still young age! Love her! :)
What a collection. I got shocked because of the high overload of cosmetics. I use Lancome products, their foundations are really good. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteOooh, I'd really like to try their lipsticks...I want to experiment some more with my makeup. Love Emma Watson's look with the line!
ReplyDeleteTrendy Teal
I really love the idea of all these bright colors - I'm afraid I'm too chicken to try them - maybe a fun eye shadow, if I decide to live dangerously, ha :)

It all looks amazing! Love the colours! <3<3
ReplyDeleteI remember those macarons boxes - I have a particularly good memory when it comes to macarons! That's a cute little video and sounds like something to look forward to in the spring. I used to use Lancome mascara and Juicy Tubes but there are so many other lip glosses out there these days and I've switched to Chanel mascara which I love.

ReplyDeleteSome of those lipstick colors are kinda crazy, haha. I really can't see the purple one being a popular seller :)

The names alone make this a worthy collab and the collection itself is so fresh and pretty. Emma Watson is the perfect face for the campaign. I've only used Lancome eyeshadows and mascara before and I think the quality of those products are quite good in terms of wear and color.
