Heart Necklaces

Whenever I see a heart necklace, my memory goes ALL the way back to high school. When I was in high school, Valentine's Day was a BIG day! I think the secretaries at our school really dreaded that day, because they would be inundated with deliveries & parcels for all the girls at school (I attended an all girl Catholic High School). The girls at my school received flowers, balloons and sometimes even jewellery. Especially those little heart necklaces! I had a steady boyfriend at the time. He bought me roses, balloons, cookie bouquets, cards and even a little bracelet with dainty hearts. However, I never received one of those necklaces! But then again, we were only in high school! HaHaHa I think every girl should be given ONE in her lifetime! Or am I over exaggerating the issue? HaHaHa Heart necklaces seem to be just as popular for Mother's Day. How do you feel about heart necklaces? Do they provoke any type of memory for you?

    Funny, I was given a heart necklace by hubby, then boyfriend, for our 1 year anniversary! :) Didn't know it was a valentines gift in the US :)

    Kim, I don't usually blog this time of night but I am here. Ya! I have a bunch of heart necklaces that I have collected since about 1990. The one in the middle would need to be part of my collection because it is so dang unique!

    These are lovely! But no, they don't evoke any memories -- I was never given one! I think tiny little crosses with tiny little stones would evoke them.
