Is it Friday yet? Just Thursday huh? I'm ready for the weekend. How about you? Well, MAC released it's Baking Beauties Collection to the public yesterday evening online. A day early from it's official release (April 11th)! MAC loves to play tricks! That's why for several days, I followed this collection on Specktra. If you're new to MAC Collections, read my tips HERE. This collection will be available in US stores on the 18th. It's usually released Internationally the following month. This collection was tricky! Everyone relied on swatches from the big beauty bloggers to figure out what might work for them. I ended up purchasing pink butter cream pearl matte, eclair paint pot, mooncake paint pot, lavender whip lipstick, pistachio and confectionery nail lacquer. Thanks for an awesome giveaway, Kim! I'm particularly excited that it's open internationally so I can take part :) I'm definitely following via bloglovin. And as for baking, honestly... I hate it! I'm famously distracted and always miss an ingredient or key step. But I love when my husband bakes; I'm a huge fan of sweet treats and he's really talented. One of my favourite things he makes are raspberry cream cheese scones. Delish!

ReplyDeleteI have started to tweak recipes to cut down on sugar. My son is Type 1 Diabetic, and I found by substituting ingredients I can make baked goods healthier. I am now making apple crumble using low sugar maple sugar oatmeal as the topping.

What a delicious giveaway! You know, I have never owned anything by MAC. I've always longed to try, but I worry it's too expensive...? I think it's because our MAC store in town is in a super fancy shopping center and looks all cool so I just assume I can't afford it. Lol.

I can cook american, italian and latin cuisines but the baking I leave up to my hubby. He's the one with the sweet tooth in our home.
