I've always admired Jessica Alba. She has beauty, brains, a supportive husband, two beautiful daughters and has lent support to a number of charities throughout her career.Jessica recently authored a book entitled "The Honest Life" and co-founded a new business venture called The Honest Company. Each focuses on safe, non-toxic, and Eco-friendly products for babies & family. The website sells non-toxic bath & body products, cleansers for your home, and baby products. The book offers great tips on everything above, and so much more (check out the video). It's truly refreshing to see a celebrity market something other than perfume, nail polish or another clothing line.
I came across Jessica's photo shoot and interview with Glamour UK Magazine (May 2013). Click HERE to read it. She talks about her new business venture and encourages other women to do the same! I always love that. She offers a lot of positivity, encouragement and motivation. I'm not surprised, knowing her history. I think we need more of that in today's society. Wouldn't you agree? I have always thought that Jessica Alba seems like such a genuinely lovely person - she comes off as kind, considerate and down to earth. Not to mention beautiful! With that said, I'm always astounded by how limited her acting skills are, and I have to wonder how she's landed any parts at all... but I'm all for granting celebrity status to people who are going to do good rather than just show up on the front page of tabloids, so I say more power to her :)

She's probably one of the few celebrities who seem quite genuine to me. There are so many out there with their "businesses" which seem so ego-driven, but somehow she seems to stay away from the big media circus and genuinely do a "real" job with her products. Good for her :-)

I love how Jessica Alba has made being a mom her priority. I won a copy of her book in Heel In Mint's giveaway recently and am working through it now. It has many great tips on healthy and eco friendly living. I'll have to write a review soon and share some of them.
