OPI Couture De Minnie Review & Swatches

Hey Everybody! Happy Monday! Below are the polish swatches you requested from last week's post. The only bottle that's missing is Minnie Style (glitter). It didn't come with the "minnies". If you get Innie Minnie Mightie Bow, I think Minnie Style would be the perfect compliment for it.

Excuse my stubby and uneven nails. HaHaHa I didn't think I would be doing nail polish swatches for awhile and chopped cut them down. HaHaHa Ok, here are my thoughts! Have A Great Week! :)

Sweet-Bittersweet-Not Sweet

Innie Minnie Mightie Bow - Supersweet - 2 Coats- This was my favorite shade out of the entire collection. Think candy apple red, that has a nice shine to it. I've purchased a lot of red polishes, and I must say that this one is truly gorgeous. Skip the mini-size and buy the full-size bottle for this shade. You won't regret it.

Magazine Cover Mouse - Sweet - 1 Coat - This is OPI's new Liquid Sand formula (click HERE to learn more about Liquid Sand). I was pleasantly surprised how much I really liked it. I'm glad they included it in the "minnies" because I probably would've never bought it for myself. It has wonderful texture and sparkles. When applying, take your time. There's not much room for error (it dries quickly). If you look at my pinky, I went over part of it again and it doesn't give the same effect as the other nails (gets lumpy & smudgy). Taking this polish off is much easier than glitter polish.

A Definite Moust-Have - Supersweet - 2 Coats - This was my 2nd favorite out of the collection. It's a really gorgeous shade of pink. This shade will look pretty on ANY skin tone. Again, skip the mini collection and purchase the full-size bottle of this.

Chic From Ears To Tail - Not Sweet - 4 Coats - I threw my bottle in the trash! HaHaHa I don't know what is up with this formula, but it's horrible. It's milky. It's streaky. I struggled with it. Don't waste your money. The name should be, Shit from beginning to end! HaHaHa

  1. I think that happens a lot with light links! I have light, milky pinks like that and they all turn out horrid. Different brands, too.

The other colors are super cute!

  2. Oh no. You did not like "chic from ears to tail." I actually thought it looked pretty in picture. But then again, 4 coats are a lot.

  4. Yes! The first one is my favourite too! That's a gorgeous and classic red :-) Have a lovely Monday and a good start to the new week xo

  5. Ha ha - loved that you just binned it. I sometimes make up new formulas out of the ones that are awful in color or texture - I mix and match em - sometimes it works sometimes it don't ;-)
Happy week sweetest Kim, hope your weekend was FAB,

  6. Such lovely colours! Love 'a definite moust have'!

  7. Ph, the a definite moust-have nail polish looks gorgeous! The magazine cover mouse polish is really nice too, but glitter polish easily gets very un-even.

  9. These colours are all so pretty - although I have to admit, you showcased them in order of my favourite to my least favourite :) I love dark shades from OPI but always find their light colours to be streaky, runny and difficult to apply... which is why, in recent years, I moved on to Essie products. The one thing Essie doesn't have are these types of cute collections, though. I guess we can't always have our cake and eat it, too :)

  10. Hahahaha...this was hilarious!! I loved the last bit!! I hate when nail polish is so streaky and takes ages to put on. I would have tossed it as well. I love the top two, they are gorgeous colours. Am glad they worked out, as I like those best. Super review doll! I hope you got yourself some rest, I could do with a nap, haha. Have a wonderful week :)

  11. I really like the "a definite moust-have" polish Kim! I wonder if we get the OPI collections here at the same time as the US? As I love it on your nails! Thanks for the review. Shame about the "chic from ears to tail", but at least you didn't buy the full bottle :)

  16. *giggles* I can't stop giggling when I read Chic From Ears to Tail's new name. Haha. And points to you when you just threw it away. I hope I have the courage to throw away my bad bottles too (I always hope that they'll magically get better, lol).

  17. I agree with you, Kim. The first one is a good red and suitable for summer too as it's not too dark. A shame about the pink one - four coats is excessive and I just wouldn't have the patience!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Haha! How weird that the light pink color needed so many coats when the others didn't!

  27. I love the first one! Ugh, I hate it when they are all milky! One of my friends said that if you leave the bottle open for awhile, it should thicken up?

  28. A Definite Moust Have is the prettiest color, and I liked Chic from Ears to Tail too...until you said you needed a million coats. The end result is nice, but it sounds like it took too much work to get there.

  29. I think red nail polish is one of my favorite colors right now and the Innie Minnie Mightie Bow color looks gorgeous. I can definitely see myself wearing it. I'm so sorry to hear that the Chich from Ears to Tail pink polish didn't turn out good. I like the pink color it has, but its really too bad that it isn't very good quality. Bleh. The other three nail polishes look great though!

  33. i have found that i don't love those matte-pastel colors because they need about 15 coats to actually look good. i do love the other colors, though!

  34. I have never tried such a bold color with nail polish before, but I'm liking the Innie Minnie Bow (I'm pretty sure I messed up the names). And LOL @ stubby and uneven nails. I can relate! Maybe you should do a post on how to keep your nails from becoming stubby and uneven, cuz Lord knows I need help!

  35. lol good to know about that horrible color! I hate colors that do that. It seems so pretty in the bottle and then it's horrible on application. I own a few that do that by reputable brands so it just sucks when that happens!
I have to say that supersweet is one of my fave colors from your swatches so I may have to pick one up for myself! =D
