The Dior 2013 Summer Mix Collection, which was introduced several weeks ago, is all about cheeks & nails! I have to admit, Dior's Summer Collections are always pretty & fun. The 2013 collection is composed of 4 nail lacquers (tie & dye, sunnies, capeline, creoles) and 4 creme/cream blushes (bikini, capri, panama, pareo).I immediately became smitten with every color after watching the video (below). Vibrant pinks, red and orange are the colors of this collection. The video shows nail lacquers lying poolside, diving and splashing about. It made me put on my Chanel sunnies. Sorry, I don't have Dior sunnies. LOL The company that made the video for Dior get's an A frickin plus, because it totally made me buy. Then the hard part my friends...
I limited myself to one nail lacquer & cheek creme. I went with the orange-y ones. I chose Sunnies & Panama. I can't complain about either and give them both supersweet ratings. Yes, I'm feeling well. The nail lacquer applies well, dries fast and is long lasting (5 days). You only need one coat. The creme blush feels like Maybelline's bouncy blush, but applies much better. Apply with a lite hand. You don't need much. This collection is not cheap. Let's not discuss prices. Someone hand me a colada :)

ReplyDeleteOh, I hadn't seen that video yet - no wonder it convinced you to buy, it's so fun! Chanel has been running adds for their classic nailpolishes here in Paris and it's all I can do not to sprint to the Chanel counter at my nearest department store and buy them all :) I love that you chose the orange Dior shades, I know some people are nervous about orange make-up but it's my favourite summer shade and I think you wear it beautifully.

Firstly, what a clever little video - so cute! I love the summery names too and Sunnies looks like my kind of colour as I always go for coral shades in summer. Chanel Orange Fizz is my favourite at the moment but I'm tempted to treat myself to this one for a change!
