The Milk Bar, Riverbend

I'm in a happy MOO-oood! Wanna know why? I finally ate at The Milk Bar. The Milk Bar is a cute little sandwich shop located in the Uptown/Carrollton/Riverbend section of New Orleans. There's been a lot of buzz about their sandwiches, so I thought I would check them out.

The Milk Bar in the Riverbend is Sweet!

Upon entering, I was greeted right away! The staff was friendly & knowledgeable. I placed my order and the cashier mentioned she would bring the order to my table when it was ready. I took this time to walk around and snap a couple of pictures. I loved the decor! It would make anyone happy! It had a funky-groovy vibe to it! The restaurant has pink & blue painted walls, colorful chalkboard signs, fleur de lis and various other animal paintings on the walls. Moo Dat T-shirts (The Saints are our football team and fans always chant Who Dat at football games) hung from the ceilings and awesome cow themed chairs were placed at almost every table. Those chairs were so cute, I seriously wanted to take them home with me. HaHaHa

Don't I look moo-velous!?! Before I could say mooooo, I was given a "Chocthunder from Downunder" milkshake. Don't you love the names they come up with for their food & drinks? It was choco-licious! So delicious, I felt like singing, "My milkshake brings"...well ummm you know the rest. HaHaHa If you get a milkshake, ask for a malt. It's 25 cents more and thicker! A few minutes later I was handed a bag with "Kim Psycho" on it! LOL You should've seen my face! WTF??? HaHaHa Yes, I ordered their Psycho Chicken Sandwich, but when I saw the bag it made me want to laugh. The Milk Bar serves all of their sandwiches HOT from the oven on ciabatta loaves. Mmmm! Mmmm! The sandwich was psychotically good! You could taste every topping! You could see every topping! I could only eat half and brought the rest home with me.

I really have nothing bad to say about The Milk Bar (would you? they serve locally owned Zapps VOODOO potato chips!). I Put A Spell On You! Not today you won't! HaHaHa Some people may complain about the sandwich prices ($8.50), but honestly the amount of toppings and the size of the sandwich make it well worth the price.When you want a freshly prepared, yummy tasting HOT sandwich (and you're sick of Subway), definitely stop by. You can eat in. Take out. It's a comfortable laid back atmosphere. And the cows are kicks! HaHaHa Below is what I wore...
