New York Fashion Week: S/S 2014

Here are my FAVORITES from New York Fashion Week! It's a MIX of well known and lesser known designers. The big names are always a pleasure to see, but always keep in mind there are OTHER fabulous designers in the fashion world as well. Look for them. Seek them out. I showcase many in this post. I bet you didn't hear about them for NYFW! But guess what? They participated and had fabulous collections! I also paired pictures of designers along with personal favorites from each collection! I feel it's important to know the names of designers AND be able to recognize them. I met a girl, who could rattle off designer names faster than a speeding bullet, but wouldn't know Michael Kors if he stood right in front of her (I asked her to describe him and she couldn't). Don't wear the handbag, without knowing the designer :) I encourage you to look past the clothes, look past the names and GET TO KNOW who's making them! I really enjoyed following NYFW. If I had to sum it up, I would choose the word SIMPLICITY. Nearly every collection was made of gorgeous neutrals, soft colors, easy-on-the-eye prints, classy cutouts and flow-y fabrics.
