I was given The SFP Look Book Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2013 Collections for review.
All opinions in this review are 100% my own.
When Schiffer Publishing contacted me and asked if I would be interested in reviewing their SFP Look Book Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Fall 2013 Collections, I was more than happy to accept. For the past couple of weeks, I've covered Fashion Week from New York to Paris. So this opportunity couldn't have come at a better time. This is an awesome reference book, that showcases every collection from New York Fashion Week. Every design seen ON the runway, is IN this book! So it's all at your fingertips. Everything is in ONE place. When you initially open this gorgeous coffee table book, you are greeted with a list of contents. Fashion designers are listed alphabetically, along with corresponding page numbers. Flip the page and......beautiful pictures showcasing designs from EACH collection grace the inside of the book. The ENTIRE collection is showcased, not just part of it. The names of designers are listed clearly at the top of each page and the picture quality is truly beautiful. Below are a few examples.
Naeem Khan
Diane Von Furstenberg
Donna Karan New York
Schiffer Publishing did an awesome job publishing this book ($45 USD)! It's an excellent reference tool for anyone that loves fashion and follows it. It also makes a great gift. If I had to make a recommendation to Schiffer Publishing, it would be to expand on this and publish Look Books for ALL Fashion Week Shows (New York, London, Milan, Paris etc). You have a wonderful network of International distributors (Europe, Japan and Australia) and there are definitely consumers that would be interested in purchasing these types of books. I would purchase a Look Book for Milan Fashion Week (S/S 2014) right now, because I loved nearly every collection. For my readers, take a look at Schiffer Publishing's Website. They not only have books on fashion, but a plethora of other topics. I would like to thank Schiffer Publishing for giving me the opportunity to review one of their books and share it with my readers. Thank You! I really appreciate it and have a beautiful book for my coffee table. :)
Hi Kim, YEAH! I'm the first to comment. This looks like an awesome book. I haven't bought a real fashion book in a long time, definitely checking it out. Thanks for the review. Anyway, no, I can't think of anything I want from the states, but THANK YOU. You're so considerate and sweet. Looking forward to the goodies. :)

Wow, Kim! You were so lucky to get a copy of this book to review, it looks wonderful!!! I would love to have such a book but I would worry that I don't have enough space to pile a collection of them - because I knew that I would want them all season, after season!
ReplyDeleteSpanish fashion magazines usually publish a special extra issue in September and March with many catwalk photos and looks to copy. I used to buy a couple of them, usually Vogue and Elle, and I still have a big collection of old magazines in my parents's house.
Right now on my coffee table, the October issue of American In Style and I LOVE it! You were right, they tell you everything! hehe
Have a great day xoxo
