Brew La La Coffee: Pumpkin Pie Coffee Review

Hey Everybody! I had a really nice Thanksgiving. I hope you did as well! I am so full, but I have to tell you about a great tasting coffee I'm sipping on right now. It's called Pumpkin Pie Coffee and it's by Brew La La Coffee. They're located in New York and they make all kinds of dessert inspired coffee, hot cocoa, candy and tea. This is my first time trying them, and I think they're fabulous. I'll be doing reviews on several of their products over time, but I thought I would start with this flavor since it's Thanksgiving. It's an excellent tasting coffee! I had several cups Thanksgiving day and I'm not even a big coffee drinker. That's how smooth it is! I even lit my pumpkin latte candle. HaHaHa Now, if you're expecting this to taste like an entire pumpkin pie in your coffee cup, you will be disappointed. This coffee has a hint of pumpkin pie taste and aroma. I actually prefer that, because it's not overwhelming. This coffee is fresh, hearty, smooth and tastes great. I wanted to get this review up tonight, because they're having a Black Friday thru Cyber Monday Special (25% off all orders over $50 / coupon code CYBER25 / see below). This is not a sponsored post. I'm not getting anything from them. I just purchased some of their products, loved this coffee and wanted to tell you guys about them. I'll be reviewing some more of their products soon (hot cocoa & tea). Just as soon as my turkey belly goes down! HaHaHa Now, if you guys don't mine, I'm going to crawl into bed. Food coma! HaHaHa Check out Brew La La's vast selection! They have chocolate covered strawberry coffee, coconut cream pie coffee, egg nog coffee, decaf coffee, organic teas...Are you still here? HaHaHa Have A Relaxing Weekend!

My Black Friday and Cyber Monday ONLINE Shopping Tips

I'm making a list and checking it twice you guys! I'm prepping for Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales. Are you guys doing the same? This is some serious stuff! It's almost like homework! It's important to have a plan! TRUST ME, the stores do!

I plan on shopping online (as I usually do). One store is advertising an item I want, but I don't think I'm going out just for that. If I do go out, I'll instagram my adventures.

I'm also in the kitchen right now burning things up...I mean cooking. I'm having traditional turkey & trimmings. I need to taste test something and share it with you guys. It's Thanksgiving themed. Hopefully, I won't be too full to type a review. If I don't post it tomorrow, I'll post it Friday. Yep, Friday sounds good! HaHaHa

Like my hair, bow, mrs. santa outfit and fishnets? HaHaHa Check out the booties! HaHaHa Several years ago, I was into FaceInTheHole and made this picture. Click HERE. I've always been a fun girl.

Below are my tips for shopping the upcoming sales online (some sales have already started). Feel free to share your tips!

What You Should Do BEFORE Black Friday and Cyber Monday!

1. Know What You Want, What You Really Really Want AND PIN IT!!!
You know those secret boards they give you on Pinterest? Use one of the boards to pin ALL the items you want to buy (clothing, books, electronics, beauty products). Yaaay! Everything is one place! Now write down the name of the stores (Loft, Target, Barnes & Noble, Best Buy, Sephora). This will let you know the stores you need to concentrate on. Group and prioritize the items that are most important to you.

2. Become Social Media Buddies With The Store
Now that you know what stores you need to shop at, sign up for their email updates, like them on Facebook and follow them on Twitter. Stores send you an email (if you're on their list) letting you know what their Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales are. Sometimes email subscribers even get perks! Facebook and Twitter are even a quicker way of getting the information. :)

3. Join Ebates and MyPoints
You're about to make some big purchases! Why not get money back or a gift card for shopping at your favorite store. You'll be surprised how much it adds up! It's FREE. So take advantage of it. Click HERE. If not, you're missing out on free money!

4. Check These Websites Out
Need a compilation of Black Friday Ads? Click on these: The Black Friday, BlackFriday.com, FatWallet.com, and BFAds.net. Know anymore? Tell me about them in my comments section.

What You Should Do ON Black Friday and Cyber Monday!

1. Wake Up Early
You must! You must! Shower. Get dressed. Make that cup of coffee. Eat something. Power on the computer! There are a lot more online shoppers than there were years ago. That means things are limited and run out quickly! If you want something in a particular SIZE and COLOR, then you have to be ready. Trust me, others ARE. Selections are best early on. As the day progresses, everything becomes limited. Get what you want FIRST. You can always go back and get the extra things you see.

2. Get The Code...Coupon Code
Write down all the codes the stores give you on ONE sheet of paper.

3. Happy Shopping!
You've done your homework. You're prepared. Hopefully you get everything on your list and everything your little heart desires. Hope these helped. Now GO AND GOBBLE UP THOSE SALES!!!

The Body Shop Ginger Sparkle Collection Product Review

I love anything with a gingerbread man on it! So, I instantly fell in love with The Body Shop's Ginger Sparkle Gift Set Collection. But guess what? This collection doesn't smell like gingerbread! Get any gingerbread scented thoughts out of your head right now! HaHaHa The Body Shop specifically states in their description, that these products have a "festive ginger scent". I didn't read that, when I purchased it. So my nose went into shock, upon my first SNIFF. HaHaHa Let me describe the scent to you (according to my nose)! It's ginger. It's a glass of freshly poured champagne. It's ginger ale. It's light. It's fizzy. It's effervescent. It's fun. It's HOLIDAY! I really like it and I'm not a ginger ale fan! This product does not leave any shimmer on your skin. So if you are worried about the "sparkle" part, there's no need to worry. I purchased this set when Beauty.com had a 20% off sale. So I only paid $16 (I really wanted the cute gingerbread tin). Currently it's listed on their site for $20 (click HERE). Target has it for $18 (click HERE). The Body Shop has it currently for $20 (click HERE). ALL will probably have Black Friday Sale's on this collection. So wait for it...compare & shop :) If anything, get this collection for the cute tin. Can anyone say COOKIES? The tin is huge! Below is my review.

The Body Shop's Ginger Sparkle Collection (gingerbread tin) is Sweet

Ginger Sparkle Shower Gel
This shower gel is very fluid, bubbly and light. What I like about it, is that it perks you up without a harsh scent. It really does have a hint of champagne and puts you in a great holiday spirit. Very nice lather and rinses clean.

Ginger Sparkle Body Polish
This is a gentle body polish. You can clearly see the exfoliation beads and they work. It's gentle to use every day. What really surprised me was how much it lathered! Think of foam that's atop a great beer! Yes, that rich! No irritation here! Just soft, smooth skin.

Ginger Sparkle Body Cream
I'm always worried about The Body Shop's body cream being too heavy. Some are. Some aren't. This cream was rich as you can see from the density, but it absorbed really well into my skin. A little goes a long way. It just turned cold where I live, so this was a treat for my skin. It sucked it up and I didn't feel greasy! LOL

Ginger Sparkle Heart Soap
It's dimensional. Just a great decorative hand soap that was included. Group it with other decorative soaps in one dish and place it in your guest bathroom. It smells great.
My Final Thoughts! Get the set instead of purchasing these separately (trust me they cost more separately)! You'll save money and these sizes are just right to get you through the holidays. Plus, it makes a great gift for yourself or someone else.

Holiday body washes always seem odd to use AFTER a holiday. LOL Maybe it's just me. Usually in January, I'm buying Spring products. HaHaHa I wanted to review this set before Black Friday, because it's been pretty popular and I wanted you to know my thoughts. Look for sales to get a good deal!

Habitat For Humanity and Warner Bros: "There's No Place Like Home" Campaign & Giveaway

There's no place like home! In 2005, I was displaced due to Hurricane Katrina. I'm going to spare you what I experienced and witnessed, because it's a very sad story. I lived in a Port Allen motel for about two months. From there, I drove 3hrs to work, worked 10hrs and drove 3hrs back each day. I didn't have many options, because hotel & motel vacancies were scarce due to the number of people displaced.

When I was allowed to return home, the siding was torn & ripped, I needed a new roof, one room was filled with mold, I had a refrigerator filled with maggots and my doors had to be replaced. Despite the problems, my heart was light, because my home was still standing and I had a great career. I felt blessed and lucky. My problems were minute, compared to others.

Many residents returned to worse situations. There were empty slabs, where houses once stood. I saw homes filled with black mold, because they had been inundated with flood water. It was heartbreaking. People's homes were gone. The contents of their homes were gone. Worst of all people had perished. Despite the enormity of the problems, people were determined. They were determined to rebuild. They were determined to get their lives together. People lived in trailers for years, while gutting, repairing & rebuilding their homes. They did it because, it was THEIR HOME and THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME!

People everywhere, criticized us for rebuilding in the same place. A place we call home. They said, we live in an area known for hurricanes and should build elsewhere. Fast forward to 2013! There have been major hurricanes in New Jersey and New York. There are sinkholes in Florida. Tornadoes have devastated Kansas and Oklahoma. There are earthquakes and fires in California. A tsunami ravished Japan. Then we witnessed the devastating typhoon in the Philippines. Natural disasters can happen anywhere! They can affect anyone at anytime! All are rebuilding their HOME.

Habitat for Humanity helps rebuild people's homes and lives. They recently partnered with Warner Bros on a campaign called, There's No Place Like Home. When things fall apart, Habitat for Humanity helps put the pieces back together. The goal of this campaign is to raise money, awareness and help low-income people rebuild.

Nabisco Wheat Thins Holiday Snacks

This is a product review for Nabisco Wheat Thins. It was designed & written by A Very Sweet Blog
I was given two (2) boxes of Wheat Thins Holiday to sample. All opinions are 100% my own.

Happy Weekend! How's everybody doing? I'm doing my Friday dance! Are you guys ready for the holidays? I say bring them on! I'm already in my Christmas pajamas, playing Christmas music, rockin' my Christmas tree headband and munching on a delicious holiday snack. The fabulous people at Nabisco sent me several boxes of their limited edition, Wheat Thins Holiday, 100% whole grain snacks to review. I knowww! My life is so hard ;) HaHaHa.You can send me snacks anytime Nabisco! Pay me a really good salary, including snack perks and I'll work for you! HaHaHa Back on topic! These Wheat Thins have snowflakes, a candy cane, bell and gingerbread man imprinted on them. I found them to be super cute, fabulously festive and most importantly yummy delicious.
I paired my Wheat Thins with grapes, mild cheddar cheese and dijon mustard. They were fresh, crisp and very delicious. One box is already G-O-N-E. HaHaHa I love the fact that Wheat Thins are baked and not fried, made with no high-fructose corn syrup and are 100% Whole Grain (21g whole grain per 31g serving). They retail around $3.69 and are sold nationwide. The next time you're at the store, grab a couple of boxes for the holidays. Your taste buds will thank you and they definitely get my seal of approval :) Follow Wheat Thins on Twitter @WheatThins and "Like" their Facebook page to learn more.

Do you guys like my Christmas pajamas? They remind me of Christmas sugar cookies! I just purchased them from JCPenney. They have a really nice selection of flannel pajamas and they're running some awesome sales right now (click HERE to see them). My Christmas tree headbopper was purchased at Party City and my Marc Jacobs lipstick is really coming in handy this holiday season. HaHaHa Have a delicious weekend everybody! The holidays are here! Let's enjoy them & have fun!

Charlotte Olympia Archie Comics 2014 Resort Collection

MAC Cosmetics hooked me earlier this year with their Archie Girl's Cosmetic Collection (my post) and now SHOE EMPRESS Charlotte Olympia has come out with an Archie Comics handbag & shoe collection.

All I can say is, I want that pink shopper bag with the heart on it (left)! How cute is it!?! I packed away my Betty shirt (worn here) earlier this year! When I saw this collection, I busted it out again...shook it...and put it back on! Did I say I want that bag with all three of them sippin' sodas (yeah, the one to the left). HaHaHa

The collection seems to be scattered at the moment. Only part of the collection is up on her site. There's one clutch on Net-A-Porter. And then other pieces of the collection are scattered at Nordstrom and such. Really, I would take ALL the bags and the ballerina flats. I even contacted their customer care! They said, "please keep an eye on the website and it will be out soon". I know when I see the price, that will stop me. LOL Maybe I should start a "begging" campaign on Indiegogo: Buy me this bag and I'll turn over the rights to A Very Sweet Blog. Just Joking! Well...ummm! LMAO >.<

Kate Spade: Pop, Fizz, Clink!

Do you plan on adding a little sparkle to your wardrobe this holiday season? I have my eye on a few things. Just my EYE, not my WALLET! LOL Sparkle = $$$$$ HaHaHa I'm in love with embellishments at the moment. Especially embellishments on sweaters, skirts & tops! I think they're so pretty. Judging by the runway, I think we'll see embellishments through Spring & Summer. What do you think? I'm also seeing a lot of sequined items this holiday. I wasn't a big fan of sequined items before, but the designs coming out now are really cute. However, not all sequins are equal. Some can make you look as if you've stepped right out of the DISCO era! HaHaHa Some can make you look cheappppp! You KNOW the ones! I love Kate Spade's Pop, Fizz, Clink Collection. She even has Pop Fizz Clink Stationery! I'll take that champagne bottle coin purse! HaHaHa Hell, I'll take a glass of champagne! Ooops, it's only Wednesday ;)

Bitstrips

Have you guys seen the Bitstrips cartoons going around on the web and Facebook? It's my new guilty pleasure. They're so funny! It's actually an app (Android & iPhone) where you cartoon yourself and your friends. I LOVE being a cartoon! You can customize your avatar (mine is below). The scenarios you put yourself in are so hilarious. You can update your Facebook status with these and even make greeting cards. So cartoon yourself & significant other! They'll LOVE IT!!! Wanted to make sure everyone knew about it. Below are mine. Create, Laugh & Enjoy!

Christmas Galore At My Target Store

Hey Everybody! I went to Target this past weekend to purchase a couple of specialty holiday items. One, was Glade's Limited Edition Frosted Berry Kiss & Sweet Holiday Treat air fresheners. They smell so good. I think you can only find them at Target & Walmart. The second item on my list was Ziploc's holiday themed bags. I couldn't resist the gingerbread theme. So cute!

As I was shopping, I couldn't get over the all the products for Christmas. It's crazy! You have to have willpower or you will have NO MONEY. LOL I took some pictures (as promised). What did I buy? I'm so proud of myself. I only purchased two Glade air fresheners, holiday Ziploc bags, some paper plates, one roll of wrapping paper and a couple of gift bags. I was very proud of myself for not buying a lot of extra stuff. However, I did strategically avoid some departments! HaHa
Target had a beautiful blue, silver & white theme throughout the store. Aren't those gift bags below cute? I prefer wrapping paper, but I couldn't resist the little gingerbread men gift bags. I justified my purchase by saying they were only $1. HaHaHa Check out the spinner on the gift bag below. Yes, now gift bags are interactive. LOL The sayings are so funny.
Remember we talked about holiday lip balm last week? One of the brands was Chapstick.Well Chapstick has come out with ornament tins that contain 3 candy cane lip balms. I thought they were cute. Also remember when we talked about someone who always gets drunk at a party. Well now, there's a "Merry Christmas" flask (canteen) you can give them! Cray Cray! HaHaHa
Got the holiday sniffles? No worries. All Kleenex tissue boxes have a holiday design! Below are the Glade air fresheners I purchased. Speaking of scents, can you believe there are now Christmas SCENTED GIFT TAGS!?! So if your present STINKS, at least it will SMELL good. HaHaHa They remind me of those air freshener's on a string, you would hang in your car. LOL I never smell presents. I just rip them open to see what's inside! HaHaHa
And finally, Dunkin Donuts has a vast supply of holiday coffee flavors to suit both your Thanksgiving and Christmas palette. I love the designs on the bags. HaHaHa
