The Body Shop's Ginger Sparkle Collection (gingerbread tin) is Sweet
Ginger Sparkle Shower Gel
This shower gel is very fluid, bubbly and light. What I like about it, is that it perks you up without a harsh scent. It really does have a hint of champagne and puts you in a great holiday spirit. Very nice lather and rinses clean.
Ginger Sparkle Body Polish
This is a gentle body polish. You can clearly see the exfoliation beads and they work. It's gentle to use every day. What really surprised me was how much it lathered! Think of foam that's atop a great beer! Yes, that rich! No irritation here! Just soft, smooth skin.
Ginger Sparkle Body Cream
I'm always worried about The Body Shop's body cream being too heavy. Some are. Some aren't. This cream was rich as you can see from the density, but it absorbed really well into my skin. A little goes a long way. It just turned cold where I live, so this was a treat for my skin. It sucked it up and I didn't feel greasy! LOL
Ginger Sparkle Heart Soap
It's dimensional. Just a great decorative hand soap that was included. Group it with other decorative soaps in one dish and place it in your guest bathroom. It smells great. My Final Thoughts! Get the set instead of purchasing these separately (trust me they cost more separately)! You'll save money and these sizes are just right to get you through the holidays. Plus, it makes a great gift for yourself or someone else.
Holiday body washes always seem odd to use AFTER a holiday. LOL Maybe it's just me. Usually in January, I'm buying Spring products. HaHaHa I wanted to review this set before Black Friday, because it's been pretty popular and I wanted you to know my thoughts. Look for sales to get a good deal!
This sounds great! I must check it out on my next visit to the Body Shop store. Happy Tuesday darling!
ReplyDeleteI love ginger taste so next time I go to Villaggio Mall I will have a stop at The Body Shop store

That is such a cute set! I'd buy it for the tin alone too, haha! :)
ReplyDeleteI think it's probably a good thing it doesn't taste like gingerbread, or you'd be craving gingerbread men all day! If you're anything like me anyway :P
Away From The Blue
Mmm, I actually need some new body lotion and treats like this now...this sounds so good!

I've always loved gingerbread men too - the cute design and of course eating them. Once again a thorough and helpful review Kim and I can understand why you were attracted to the tin too!
ReplyDeleteLooks lovely doll...shame it doesn't smell like gingerbread, as that's what I would have expected too, but they worked good, so that's the best thing!! Love the tin...precious!!! Fantastic review doll, I loved it!! I feel like watching Shrek now as this reminded me of the gingerbread man in it, LOL!! Happy Tuesday doll xx
ReplyDeleteThose darned little guys always lure me in as well (gingerbread men)! I adore them! :) Great review. Sounds like a good one to try! Hugs, Doll! T. http://tickledpinkwoman.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteHi Kim! I am as you, love everything with gingerbread man on it and as you I am not a big fan of ginger ale. But from what you say, the whole stuff is really good and festive, and also smells good. I want to get the tin, it is so adorable! And so are you in the gif! Love your red lipstick!:) Kisses dear, have a great day! xo
ReplyDeleteLOLZ...thanks for letting us know about the scent, Kim. From the packaging, I did think it'd be more gingerbread than an actual ginger:P
ReplyDeleteThat body polish looks goooooooood! I'm a sucker for beads:D
I just saw this range in an Xmas catalogue and wondered what it would be like, thanks to your great review, I now know :)
ReplyDeleteI love your blog! And nice posts.

I love the packaging, but I wouldn't care for champagne smelling bath products. However, I am a sucker for The body shop body butters! The tin is just too cute!! I feel exactly like you about holiday products in January!!

I totally agree about using holiday shower stuff after the holidays. It just seems odd. haha. Also, with holiday home scents like candles. After the holidays, I feel like they need to be put away. haha

Ooh this set sounds like a lovely holiday treat. And the little gingerbread man tin and motif is so cute. I agree that it's odd to use holiday body washes after the holidays. Thanks for the review Kim!

This set sounds great - but I'm really glad that you reviewed it because I'm sure I would have expected it to smell like warm, gooey gingerbread, not like fizzy ginger ale, especially with that cute little gingerbread man on the front!
