Target Dark Spots! AVEENO® Positively Radiant® Targeted Tone Corrector Product Review

This is a product review for AVEENO®. I'm a 2014 AVEENO® Ambassador. All opinions are 100% my own.
I received a free sample of AVEENO® Positively Radiant® Targeted Tone Corrector  to review.
Step right up! Gather around! AVEENO® claims their AVEENO® Positively Radiant® Targeted Tone Corrector ($16.59) "helps reduce the look of stubborn dark spots in just 2 weeks"! Only 2 weeks!!! Really??? Yeah, right!!! HaHaHa >.< That's exactly what I said, when I received this product in my welcome basket. To test this, I snapped a picture of some dark spots on my cheeks (March 17th), started using the product twice a day and then took a snapshot of the same area this past weekend. Somebody pick my jaw, teeth and eyeballs off the ground! HaHaHa I couldn't believe what I saw in my picture. AVEENO hit the bulls-eye with this one and gets a big stuffed toy for this!

Oh the joy of reviewing beauty products! I get to show the good, bad & ugly (my skin)! LOL! I really did NOT expect to see results after using this product for only TWO WEEKS. So when I saw my "after" picture, my mouth flew open! I noticed 3 things! 1. The bottom left corner is the corner of my mouth. This product has nearly eliminated the dark patch that was near it. 2. Above...to the right....this product has lightened that area. 3. In the middle of my cheek, there's better clarity, less redness and patchiness than before. As you can see, this product DOES NOT get rid of moles (I didn't expect it to, but I wanted to mention it). I don't think it will do much for freckles (but I didn't test for it). Overall, I was thoroughly impressed. I'm really shocked! I've tried various over the counter skin lighteners and never had such results. The only thing that has ever worked, was a prescription from a dermatologist. Have a great week!

Etude House Feel The World Pouch Review

Happy Friday! I want to show you guys the Etude House "Feel The World" pouches I ordered on eBay. Some of you may remember seeing them on my instagram account 8 weeks ago. They're getting limited ($14 - $22), so I thought I would show you mine in case you were on the fence about ordering. I ordered Paris, London and New York. There's also Hong Kong, Japan, China, Sydney, Santorini, and Venezia. Go to eBay. Type "Etude House Feel The World" in the Search Bar and they'll show up. Mine took 2-3 weeks to receive, because they came from S. Korea. They're super cute and I was very pleased with the one's I received. The name of the city and it's popular historical sites are pictured on the front of the pouch. A written synopsis of what the city is known for culturally, historically etc. and the country's flag is on the back. It has a hearty zipper and handle on it. If anything spills, it easily wipes clean. It has a soft leather feel.

These pouches can be used for anything, but I'm using mine as cosmetic cases. They'll be great for travel (weekend getaway) and will keep my makeup organized. I was really surprised at how much they hold. It holds my Urban Decay foundation, 3 MAC Archie's Girls compact makeup brushes, Too Faced blush, Fresh lip balm, Tokyo Milk lotion, Soap & Glory mascara (not reviewed yet), Tokyo Milk lip balm jar, Too Faced lipstick, Tokyo Milk hand soap, Benefit Lollitint cheek tint and Bobbi Brown nail lacquer.

Ooh La La Brand: Brew La La Organic Strawberry Chocolate Tea Product Review

Well, it's chilly again. So, I put away the iced tea and decided to make myself a cup of hot tea. HaHaHa This is Ooh La La Brands, Brew La La Organic Strawberry Chocolate Tea (say that 3 times). I reviewed their Pumpkin Pie Coffee & S'mores Hot Chocolate last year and this tea was part of that order (see, I don't forget). I'll review their Chocolate Macaroon Coffee before Easter (I think. I break promises. I'm so bad.). Oh well, stay tuned. I'll get there eventually! This is not a sponsored post. I purchased everything with my money.

All products from the Ooh La La Brand (tea, coffee, etc.) come in really cute packaging. This tea comes in a strawberry pink tin with a hinged flip-top lid. I love the strawberry frosted cupcakes that appear on the front of the container and there are little pink teapots & cups scattered on all sides of the container. You'll definitely want to save it and use it again. You receive 50 string & tag teabags. They're divided into 2 (25 ct) freshly sealed silver packets (see picture below). So your tea definitely stays fresh. I placed this order in November of 2013 and everything is still fresh. FYI: These bags are not resealable. Keep your tea bags in the silver bags. Put the silver bags in the canister. You'll be fine.
The first thing you'll notice (rather your nose) when you open the container, is the awesome aroma. You definitely pick up a red berry scent. I didn't detect chocolate though. I would use a small teacup to drink this tea. The reason I say that, is because the tea bags are small (half the size of a regular tea bag). Too much water will overpower one tea bag. If you want a large mug of this, then use more tea bags (to strengthen). Follow the directions on the canister. Make sure your water is 100 degrees or hotter. Let it brew for 5-7 minutes.
For taste, I added 2 packets of sugar to mine. I tried it without, but preferred it with sugar. This tea has a very light taste. I picked up hints of berry, but I did not pick up chocolate. So, I added chocolate candies to it :) (for the picture of course). If you're looking for a STRONG strawberry & chocolate tea, this is not it. If you want something light, has a berry taste and will relax you, this is it. It tasted really good with sugar. However, I can only give it a Bittersweet rating, because of the missing chocolate taste and overall it's just not hearty enough for me. Onto their Chocolate Macaroon Coffee (I have a feeling their coffee is their specialty).

AVEENO®: The Beauty Of Nature (Farm-To-Formulation)

This is a sponsored post for AVEENO®. I'm a 2014 AVEENO® Ambassador. All opinions are 100% my own.
I received a gift basket from AVEENO®. The contents of the gift basket are fully disclosed in this post.

AVEENO®  sent me the cutest gift basket filled with yummy snacks yesterday! Thank You AVEENO®! They're celebrating the launch of a video series called, "The Beauty of Nature". It's really interesting. Have you heard the terms "farm-to-school" or "farm-to-table"? Well AVEENO®  has a farm-to-formulation system! "The Beauty of Nature" is a series of video narratives celebrating ingredients found in nature and their potential to help enhance one’s natural beauty. The first digital short (below) is narrated by Brand Ambassador Jennifer Aniston and highlights the compelling farm-to-formulation journey of the AVEENO® Brand’s first ACTIVE NATURALS® ingredient: oat. I wanted to share it with you. Have a great Tuesday!

Video Synopsis
Feeling Beautiful ... Naturally!
1. Everything begins with local farms & farmers who produce & harvest high quality OATS.
2. Those OATS are put through a special milling process that turns the grain into an extremely fine oatmeal
(the same quality as the oatmeal you eat).
3. These SUPER OATS contain FIVE (5) vital elements that can be found in healthy skin
(a. proteins b. antioxidants c. enzymes d. vitamins e. lipids)

"I’ve used AVEENO® Daily Moisturizing Lotion since I was in my 20s but working on this project and learning everything that goes into their skincare products – how they are conscious of the ingredients chosen, how they’re grown, how they’re formulated – has given me a whole new appreciation for the Brand.  I realize that what makes all the difference is actually the story behind the products so it's great to be able to help share that story,"

Cardstore Greeting Card Review

This is a product review for Cardstore. I created a birthday card to review. All opinions are 100% my own.

Happy Monday Everybody! A representative for Cardstore contacted me and asked if I would like to create a greeting card using their website. My mom's birthday is coming up (April), so I thought it would be fun to make a birthday card for her.

It's all about ease & customization with Cardstore! The process couldn't be any simpler. You pick a card, add/delete wording (choose font & color), add picture(s) and then choose whether Cardstore mails it to you or the card recipient.

Cardstore's selection of cards are impressive! They have birthday, anniversary, baby, congratulations, encouragement, friendship, get well, good luck, graduation, love, miss you, moving, religious, sorry, sympathy, thank you, thinking of you, wedding & engagement and holiday. Whew! They also make photo, stationery and invitations. I'm impressed!

This is the card I chose for my mom! It's called "Cookie Tower" and it's by American Greetings. The artwork on the card is very pretty! I love the stack of cookies, cupcakes and fairy dust that appear on the front of the card. The artwork and greeting is permanent, but you can personalize it with "mom", the "person's name" etc. You also have the option to choose different fonts, font color and position the wording either left, center or right on the card.

Here's the inside of the card! That was my mom, when she was a little girl! Was she fancy or what? HaHaHa You can add 1-4 pictures to the inside cover of your card! You can also add captions for each picture. Let me give you a tip! A good rule of thumb is to always lighten your picture (just a little) before submitting it for printing, because any reprint will make a picture darker (I use to work for Kinko's Copies in college, so that's how I know HaHaHa). The greeting inside the card, can be changed. The original read, "...and delicious dreams-come-true just for you! Happy Birthday", and I changed it to what you see below. You can even add a signature. Again, you have a choice of font, color and placement.

That's it! You've made your card! Cardstore let's you preview & mail it. They can mail it for you (to the recipient) or send it to you by mail, to hand deliver or mail on your own (to the recipient). The choice is yours. You're done! I found the process simple, easy and the quality of the card excellent. It's a sturdy, professionally printed card that you would find at any store. My card came in a sturdy, non-bendable envelope. This card is $3.49. Cardstore has cards for as little as 99 cents. They ship domestically and internationally! Hope you enjoyed! I need to get hopping and send some Easter cards :) Have a great week!

AVEENO® Active Naturals Positively Radiant Makeup Removing Wipes Product Review

This is a sponsored post for AVEENO®. I'm a 2014 AVEENO® Ambassador. All opinions are 100% my own.
I received a free sample of AVEENO® Active Naturals Positively Radiant Makeup Removing Wipes to review.

Hey Everybody! This is a review of the AVEENO® Active Naturals Positively Radiant Makeup Removing Wipes ($6.99) that were in my AVEENO® welcome gift basket. I've used them for 10 days now and think they're pretty awesome.
I really like the packaging AVEENO® uses for its makeup removing wipes. It's sleek, lightweight (no box) and pretty much spill/splash proof. The AVEENO® label peels back to reveal an opening (like a tissue/kleenex box), in which the individual makeup wipes can be removed. The label itself is HIGHLY adhesive (reseals), so it keeps the remaining wipes moist. The 1st million dollar question! Are the wipes moist? YES! These makeup wipes are very moist (not dripping wet), but enough to go over your face several times! I was concerned about this, because I've purchased makeup removing wipes that were dry. There's nothing more frustrating then a dry (bleep) makeup removing wipe. LOL
These wipes are scented. I'm the first to complain about anything scented when it comes to skincare, but I didn't have a problem with these. The scent is clean & fresh. You'll continuously want to sniff your hands afterwards. That's how pleasant the scent is. The makeup wipe is cool to the touch, damp and about the size of my face. It was very gentle to my skin and I didn't experience any irritation (for the record, I have dry & sensitive skin). AVEENO® Makeup Removing Wipes are formulated with moisture-rich natural soy extract. They're also oil free, non-comedogenic, dermatologist tested and ophthalmologist tested. I wear contacts and these were not a problem.
The 2nd Million Dollar Question! Do these makeup wipes remove makeup easily and thoroughly? Yes, they do! Let me prove it to you! I put the following makeup on (see pic below), but MUCH heavier than usual. Most beauty bloggers show you a before picture (with makeup) and after picture (without makeup, holding up the wipe). Not me! I made gifs of myself actually taking off my makeup step-by-step so you can see the "between" results!

Using ONE AVEENO® positively radiant makeup removing wipe, I removed my Urban Decay liquid foundation,
Benefit boi-ing concealer, Maybelline cream blush, Sephora lipstick, and Too Faced eyeshadow in milk chocolate.
Gosh, I can make some faces when removing makeup. LOL

1st removed blush, concealer                  2nd removed lipstick                       3rd removed eye shadow
                 and foundation

From excessive makeup to no makeup! Here's the AVEENO® makeup removing wipe with all the makeup! :)

A Spring Bouquet

It's officially Spring. I thought I would use this beautiful bouquet (Bea & The Lady) as my inspiration for today's post (see it up close HERE). I spotted it on instagram, instantly fell in love and curiosity led me to do a little more research. It's from a florist in Miami called Kalla. They're new & exclusive to South Florida. This particular bouquet is made of pink o'hara garden roses, asparagus fern and tippy succulent. Ready for the price? It's $140. So, if someone sends you one, you are super duper special to them ;) HaHaHa Chocolates & wine can be added. Delivery is included in the price ;)

1. Molton Brown Rhubarb & Rose Collection 2. Marc Jacobs Limited Edition Daisy Eau So Fresh Delight
3. Essie Spring 2014 (Hide And Go Chic & Style Hunter) 4. Kalla Florist (Miami) Bea & The Lady
5. Tillie Sweet Treats Collection 6. Dolce & Gabbana Dolce Eau De Parfum
7. Crabtree & Evelyn Rosewater Ultra Moisturizing Hand Therapy 8. Philosophy Star Fruit Kiwi & Berry Lime Martini Body Washes

Spring is a time for new beginnings & fresh starts (again)! How have you prepared? For me, lighter meals and more water. I've already cleaned my closet. I've purged, sold on (eBay) and have given away a lot of my clothes. I'm trying Soap & Glory products for the first time thanks to Kizzy of The Dainty Dolls House and Shea of I Would So Rock This. I plan on doing a Soap & Glory product review marathon on AVSB, since I have so many of their products now. Look for that soon :). I've been seeing lots of rose & other floral inspired beauty products lately, so I showcased them on the board. New brand (at least to me) of nail polishes called Tillie (started in 2012). They're 4 Free! Above is their Sweet Treats Collection. Right now they only ship within the US, but they are open to International retailers purchasing their products to sell. Finally, I REALLY need to start watching Game of Thrones! Two words...Jason Momoa! How sexy IS he (married to Lisa Bonet)!?! He's from Hawaii! ALOHA! LOL Is his character still alive? What season did he start in? If his character's dead, I don't want to watch. LOL How CHEEKY AM I? LOL Going to Netflix now! I think the new season starts in April? Jason Momoa on the brain!!!

Swatch Watches: Pastry Chefs Collection

I purchased a new watch over the weekend. It's called Caramellissima! It's the first one below. It's dandy as candy! HaHaHa I hope I don't bite my wrist! LOL Swatch has come out with a Pastry Chefs Collection. I haven't followed Swatch since the '80's! Talk about a flash back! Well anyway, I fell in love with the Caramellissima watch. Do you remember the Chanel candy necklaces & bracelet from their recent runway show? Well this Swatch watch has the same concept. It's $60 (USD). I wish Chanel's accessories were the same price! HaHaHa Wishful thinking! Well anyway, I purchased it and thought it would be fun for Spring and Summer. I'll style it with an outfit and show it to you on the blog when I receive it. Here are the other watches in the collection (some are WILD!). However, the Sminty is calling my name! HaHaHa Have a great day everybody!
