I would describe Soap & Glory's Butter Yourself Body Cream ($22) as EXOTIC and SEXY. It's a Fruitigo scent (citrus, fruity and woody). Soap & Glory's Fruitigo scented products have notes of frozen yuzu, orange oil, green fig, and jungle pomelo essence. To me, it's a light musk. It's nice and pleasant, but I've never been a big fan of musk scented products. But again, scent is a choice. So check it out before you buy. This body cream is slightly heavier than the others I reviewed. The scent is also heavier. So you may want to use this more in the Fall and Winter. It moisturizes really well. Despite being a little heavier, it's not sticky or greasy. I purchased this product using a gift card I won from blogger Shea of I Would So Rock This. Thanks Shea! ReplyDeleteThis is a really lovely one!! I have a hand cream with the fruitigo in it and I actually went back to the hand food bottle, because I preferred that scent after a while. I find I like the fruitigo scent better in the bath products rather than the hand/body creams. Its lovely though, just tends to be a little heady for me, I have a sensitivity to strong smells, so I would definitely say to try it before you buy it! But, it is very lush. I'm not a fan of heavy musk scents but this one sounds lighter from your description and the addition of orange oil sounds lovely. Body butters can feel greasy and difficult to absorb but the consistency of this one looks good in your photos Enjoy the week ahead, Kim!

Ah, now I do love the scent of musk and something like white musk reminds me of my teenage years…not revealing any more though ;-) I like the Soap and Glory products, I have the facial exfoliator and a body scrub which I swear by. They're offer really good value for money and seem to generally work quite well. Hope you're well, have a good start to the week xo

I love the vintage packaging and the words "butter yourself" on it. I wish natural based companies came up with cool and cute packaging like these. The butter looks good.. texture and consistency wise. I agree that scent is very subjective and I like musky scents if it's light and not very over powering. I used to love old spice..I'm weird like that :)
