Soap & Glory Heel Genius Foot Cream Product Review

Better than a pedicure? Genius? Amazing? Soap & Glory makes some strong claims regarding their Heel Genius foot cream (RRP $18 / USD $18)! I hate to be the bearer of bad beauty news, but this cream IS NOT BETTER THAN A PEDICURE, NOR DOES IT REPLACE A PEDICURE. IT DOES help MAINTAIN your feet AFTER a pedicure. However, I can name a million other foot creams that do the exact same thing. This cream is good, but nothing special! Here's how it works! Before going to sleep, apply the minty foot cream (light green color) to your feet, put on socks and then sleep/relax. Your feet WILL feel soft after using it (but it's the same softness as with any other foot cream you are currently using). It does nothing for rough patches, callous skin or cracked heels (I got someone to try it who had rough feet LOL). If you suffer from the latter, get a professional pedicure or go to a podiatrist and then purchase Surgeons Skin Secret balm. Surgeons Skin Secret is ah-mazing and seals cracks in just a couple of applications. I had a split in my heel a long time ago and the Surgeons Skin Secret balm repaired it. I still use it to keep the bottom of my feet soft. This is not a sponsored post. Just sharing something that worked for me :). I want to thank you guys for your comments in my previous post regarding my honest beauty reviews. Beauty products are expensive and if I can save anyone else money on a product then I have done my job. I love researching and testing beauty products (I did this way before I started blogging) and now I get to share everything with YOU. Have A Great Weekend Everybody!

  6. I don't really have problems with my feet but I can try foot cream. But I'm not sure about the wearing socks to sleep thing because I live in a not so cold place and doing so, the heat will probably keep me up at night. The product sounds ok, except that they claim benefits that aren't true.

  8. I haven't tried this one before from S&G but I use a really good foot cream imported from Germany that works like a dream. Thanks for the review. Thanks so much for your great comment…have a wonderful weekend!

  9. That's some strong claims to make but I guess that's marketing. This foot cream sounds nice but it's definitely not some miracle salve based on your experience. We really appreciate your honest opinions in all your reviews Kim! You're the best, girl :)

  11. Good review, Kim! I am always weary of foot creams. I use petroleum jelly with mint and lavender essential oils mixed in. I am going to try using beeswax next to see how it goes.

  12. Yet another honest review :)
It's terrible when products do not do what they promise to. It's all marketing!
Marketing will sell the first product BUT the product is responsible for its following sales.

  17. I usually recommend my clients to use Vaseline on their heals! I think it would be cheaper and more product than spending money on a heal cream

  19. That sounds a little less than genius to me ;) Thanks for the recommendation about Surgeon's Secret Balm, though. I don't have any issues with my feet but my husband stands all day every day at work in a hot kitchen, so it would probably be great for him.

  29. Well that is a shame but if sounds like it is good as a basic foot cream. And if smells good and you like that and the packaging it could be a good buy, just not for very calloused feet.

  30. Outstanding and honest review as always Kim. Agree with some of the responses here, vaseline work wonders on the heels and other dry skin conditions. Thank you so much for the lovely comment, it made my day! Have a great week dear! xo

  31. I always enjoy reading your posts. They often feel so much realistic and cute. The foot cream business is not one i really dabble into all the time but lately i have using one by Arbonne just out of curiosity. I think it okay to maintain soft heels regardless. Thanks for sharing dear :).

  32. I've not got this product unhand, but I've got a couple of similar ones here. No doubt--nothing replaces a pedi! I had to laugh at your comment about finding someone with rough feet. :) Another great review. Hugs on your evening! T. http://tickledpinkwoman.blogspot.com

  35. I use this, it works really well for me, but at the same time I've used others that were just as great as well, so I could take it or leave it. I don't like the smell at all, that puts me off using it, which is maybe why it's sitting on my desk most of the time. I think it works, but the smell isn't for me. I think what works for someone might not work for another and vice versa. Since we're all different really. It works well for me, but I never have dried out feet or rough skin because I am crazy with taking care of my feet, that stuff grosses me out, hahaha!! It might work on others, but the smell is a no no for me, smells like a medicine cabinet or something, which is strange when you've smelled their other stuff, they missed the mark with that one!! Happy Monday doll xx

  37. I'm seriously on the look out now for any foot cremes as I do all my own pedi's now (they're like $100 here in Switzerland). Thanks for this review and I'd definitely need something stronger for the rough skin but I love this packaging. :)

I'm glad that you wrote another honest review to confirm that this product isn't as awesome as the advertising says it is. Oh, and thanks for your foot cream suggestion! I favorited the link! <3

  45. Great review. That's good to know. I get cracked heel during the winter, so I'm always eager to try different things to see if it'll work better than what I'm doing now, which is coconut oil. I'll have to try Surgeons Skin Secret balm.

Thanks for your kind comment on my blog. I've limit my trips out too.

    Have a lovely week Kim!
