This week I'm collaborating with
Estee Lauder Companies' BCA Campaign! You can read more about it
HERE. They sent me
Aveda's Limited Edition Hand Relief Moisturizing Creme with Calming Shampure Aroma ($26 USD). Four dollars ($4 USD) of the purchase goes to support cruelty-free research through the National Breast Cancer Foundation. This cream can also be purchased at
Nordstrom. As one who has DRY SKIN, I really like this hand cream. It's super creamy, moisturizing and non-greasy. It looks like thick, whipped cream and does a great job moisturizing skin (look at the picture of my hand, once I rubbed it in). I've also been using it on my arms & legs. You can feel it sinking in your skin. It does have a scent! Aveda products all seem to have the same scent. HaHaHa Aveda describes it as a calming aroma with 25 pure flower and plant essences. It does smell like flowers. However, it doesn't go overboard. It's a great hand cream. Tomorrow and Thursday, I'll have some lippy products from Origins and Smashbox. I didn't realize so many brands fell under the Estee Lauder brand. So happy to try and review these. Just wish the amount donated was higher. Join the Estee Lauder BCA Campaign on Twitter

Aveda's Hand Relief Moisturizing Creme is Sweet.
I know that my roommate is always struggling with cracked and dry hands - I may have to refer her to this product.

It looks like it's creamy and really effective. It is a shame that more can't be donated to breast cancer related causes but it's definitely a great start!

This sounds like a really good hand cream! I don't have dry hands, but it's always good to keep a hand cream that will keep your hands moisturized! This would be a great product to have especially during the cooler months! Great post as always!
ReplyDeleteI obviously have a really dirty mind because the name of this lotion really cracks me up!
ReplyDeleteLol Kim, you are right, Aveda products got all the same scents! Love this brand and for sure the hand cream must be great. I have dry skin there too so it would be good for me. I didnt know wither there were many brands under Estee Lauder too. Have a lovely day dear, many kisses! xo
ReplyDeletelooks like a great handcream...and additional plus is that it supports breast cancer research!

Sounds lovely Kim!
ReplyDeleteI guess it would be nice if more than $4 went to research, but $4 is more helpful than the usual nothing that happens all the other months of the year I guess! :) It's nice to see so many brands get on board - even if it is all the same parent company behind them! :)

This sounds like an awesome hand cream. I've never really used any before because I have sweaty palms. Maybe I just haven't found the right product yet.

What a great idea Kim x
ReplyDeleteI have super dry hands, so this sounds right for me:) And I really Aveda too!

I also get super dry hands and most "good hand creams" aren't effective enough for my taste so I'm glad this worked for you!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the review :)
Definitely good to have a super moisturizing cream around for the winter months - I get so dry it seems like no matter how much I use it makes no difference!

Yes I also find that Aveda products all seem to have the same scent which I don't mind. This cream sounds nice and it's good that proceeds do support the National Breast Cancer Foundation. I'm with you that the amount should be more Kim!

I love when brands donate a portion of their proceeds to an organization. It really makes me feel better purchasing from the brand. =)
ReplyDeleteI also like that you mentioned this hand lotion is non-greasy feeling. So often I battle the "greasy hand" effect after applying lotion. It's not fun on the keyboard. =)

Thumbs up for Aveda! a good product and a good cause.
ReplyDeleteIt looks so rich & creamy. It's nice that it has a mild floral smell rather than overpower you with fragrance! :] // itsCarmen.com ☼ ☯
ReplyDeleteI love Aveda and their products. I used to go to an Aveda salon when I lived in Italy.
ReplyDeleteIt seems like a lovely cream but gosh, that's expensive!

Such a fantastic idea, really get people aware and donating, it's so important. Even if you've not personally been affected, high chances are you know someone down the line battling. My Nana got through breastfeeding cancer, though cancer eventually came back many years later and took her away, I'm glad we got to have her for so long, but I know many don't get that chance, so we need to continue on reaching. Xx
ReplyDeleteanother great product to add to my list of things to try :)

Aww, that is pretty neat. My hands are always so dry too. I always have to keep a hand cream on my all the time.

I just came from the Estee Lauder counter a little while ago! It's free gift time and I indulged a bit. My grandmother had breast cancer. I know how very important this campaign is. T. http://tickledpinkwoman.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteA truly good handcream can be a godsend. My favourites are from La Biosthetique and Estee Lauder, but this one is probably a bit more affordable, so I'll definitely check it out :)

I love that this product works well, and is for a good cause! If I wasn't so weird about my lotions, I would try this!

ReplyDeleteTo be honest, I am not much into lip glosses, etc. but I love hand creams, body lotions and so on! This one looks great! I'd definitely give it a try if I see it in the store because I don't like greasy creams! Thank you for letting me know about it!
ReplyDeleteLooks really nice and my hands have been getting really dry lately! Sounds like something I need to check out!

I had no idea how many brands were under este lauder either and I'd definitely try this!! I always need a good hand creme especially in the winter sometimes my skin gets so dry on my hands I'm embarrassed to shake someones hand. agh!! Great review Kim!
ReplyDeletexoDale
I didn't know all of those products were under the estee lauder umbrella. I've tried most of their brands, and so far I like them. This sounds like a great cream, will definitely added to my list to try out next time; plus I love how they're contributing part of the proceeds to a great cause!
