Well, if you kiss somebody under the mistletoe, don't use these! LOL This Too Faced Cosmetics
Under The Mistletoe holiday lipstick set ($28), contains 3 full-sized lipsticks of their BEST SELLING shades! However, these are the SHIMMER and NOT LA CREME versions (I prefer the La Creme versions, which are $22 each). That MINOR detail, makes a world of difference! HaHaHa In this set you get Marshmallow Bunny, Spice Spice Baby and Naked Dolly. Marshmallow Bunny and Naked Dolly were not that great to me (as you'll see by my facial expression below LOL). I found them to be streaky and lackluster. I did like the shimmer version of Spice Spice Baby (I'm glad one color could be salvaged). That shade had more punch to it, than the other ones. Maybe I can mix Naked Dolly (shimmery version) with the Naked Dolly in the
Beauty Wishes and Sweet Kisses set (also see my
Melted Kisses review). You also get a cute little pink & purple glitter zipper case to keep them in. It's small and fits in the palm of your hand. However, there's some fall out with the glitter (nothing majorly alarming, but still fall out). So as you can see, there are some problems with this set (quality) and I feel you can do better! This
beauty blogger also mentioned problems with this set! >.<

Too Faced Cosmetics Under The Mistletoe Lipstick Set is Not Sweet
Hahaha, you are so honest it bites, and you know what, that's why your reviews are always so much fun to read. Is it me, or the lipsticks look a little dry? The earth tone colors, i do like a lot though, but shimmery and dry? Eeeekk!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing Kim.

Kim, I see they arent worth to buy and honestly, I wouldnt do since Im not a bit fan of shimmer texture! I prefer the cream and matte one much more. I would get the set just for the case lol but I see there are problems also on it!:) Btw, the shades suit u the same and u are so adorable! xo
ReplyDeleteOh boo! :( Too bad they're not that great, but at least, there's the case...:)
ReplyDeleteHahahaha...I love your face :))) Bless, what a shame you didn't care for these, they look great, but looks won't get us far, we want it to work!! Least the bag is gorgeous, you can get some use out of that! The shimmer texture sounds good, but if it doesn't work, there's no point wasting money. Have a great day doll xx
ReplyDeleteI love your honest reviews - these look great but looks like the quality isn't there. Have a great day Kim,

It's sorry to hear these products aren't so good as you thought, but I have to admit that you look so pretty in the last shade of these lipsticks!

Great honest review like the shade but if is not worth it why buy it.
ReplyDeleteAww, that is such a cute little gift idea! It looks so pretty and perfect, such a shame that the quality isn't there :(
ReplyDeleteAway From The Blue
How disappointing! I have to say though - you still look fabulous in the 3 shades!

ReplyDeleteHave a great day!

Awwwww that's too bad about the streaks. At least you can use one of them. I love the purse too but I hate it when glitters appear randomly on me. lol.
ReplyDelete(^o^)
Thank you for the honesty. I do want to try Spice, Spice, Baby, but I think I will just swatch the regular version. These are not that great!

I don't use lipsticks and I wouldn't buy these. The Marshmallow one looks great on you, although it's streaky and lackluster, as you said. Otherwise the colours look very nice!

Love loved your facial expressions and of course the honesty of this review.
ReplyDeleteOkay so the pretty pictures of you wearing these doesn't tell the whole story. Sorry to hear that this lipstick set wasn't that great. I really appreciate your honest reviews Kim!

Aww, too bad you didn't like them. The color looks fabulous on you though. I have to agree they do look a wee bit drying. The bag does look cute! Have a Happy Wednesday Kim!!!!!

I like the colours. Looks so kissable!
ReplyDeleteThat Spice Spice Baby' colour suits you well. Like you, minor details makes the world of difference for me too. I don't like too shimmery of colours for lipstick. I've not tried their lipsticks, thanks for the review. :)
ReplyDeleteMoto-Chic Style
Too bad they're not entirey saidsfying, but hey you cannot know if you don't try...at least the bag they came in is adorable<3
ReplyDeleteToo bad that didn't work out, the packaging sure is pretty. Thanks for the review.

ReplyDeleteGreat post dear
I always say this Kim, but I love your honest reviews lol! The shades of lipsticks are pretty, and they look pretty on you! It's too bad they don't met your expectations !
ReplyDeleteWhat a disappointment, I do like the case though. :) xx

Bummer, such a cute set:( Maybe the other shades could be salvaged with lip liner...
ReplyDeleteAesthetic Lounge
Ooooh these lipsticks look really lovely but it's a shame that they're not great and drying - not a great lipstick at all but they do look great on you!
ReplyDeleteIt seems every single colour looks beautiful on you - such a beautiful skin tone! :)
I have quite a few things that I want to try from Too Faced but sadly it's not easily available in the UK so keep putting it off….. :(

What a disappointment! There is nothing worse than poorly pigmented lipstick. But I guess at least you have one shade you like, and an adorable pink sequined lipstick carrier now.
ReplyDeletexox,
Cee
Hey Kim, sorry to hear that these didn't work with you. You're right, it seems like they're lacking some texture but I think the colours looked good on you though. :)

They all look nice on you but Spice, spice, baby looks THE BEST. It is perfection on you!!
ReplyDeleteLMAO! I like the last two on you a lot! I am sorry that they are "Bittersweet". I am very iffy with shimmery lipstick, I have ONE that works. Very brave of you to try three!
ReplyDeleteNooooo! I'm so sad! I really liked this set, but, that Not-So-sweet score...I trust your wisdom Kim! I'll just have to skip it. (on a side note, they do look lovely on you).
ReplyDeleteIt is such a pity that this set is really dissapointing. It looks so pretty and festive. You look lovely with the lipsticks on by the way. xxx
ReplyDeleteYou reviews are honest which I love. The lippys you share always look great on you. You really know your beauty stuff, gal. :)

Great review. The colors are beautiful on. The packaging is adorable too. But if the quality is lacking these do not sound worth the money.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that these did not meet expectations… but i've gotta say they "look" sweet :)
ReplyDeleteToo bad this didn't work out as hoped! You sure look fab in these shades, though. T. http://tickledpinkwoman.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh - spice spice baby! such a clever name :)
ReplyDeleteI'm really surprised about these lipsticks Kim! The last one does look nice on you at least!
ReplyDeleteWe can always count on you.
