Designer Dolls

This must've been a fun photo shoot to participate in! When I was a little girl, I enjoyed walking down the toy store aisle, looking at various dolls. It was fun looking at the clothes each doll wore and also the coordinating accessories. This photo shoot brought back all of those memories. A model in a "barbie box" is nothing new (photo shoot), but it's always fun to look at. Let's daydream and ponder for a minute? If you were asked to do a photo shoot like the one below, what would YOUR box be filled with? I could see myself sitting at a bistro style table, with a a fabulous outfit on, surrounded by sweets and (of course) beauty treats. Give me two and three-tiered cakes, frosted cupcakes, eclairs, sundaes with cherries on top, candy jars filled with candy and of course chocolate. Hmmm, I think my box would have to be bigger than these ;) HaHaHa Just call me patisserie Barbie! HaHaHa What about yours? What would YOURS be filled with?

  5. It is hard to believe those are real models on these photos...they really look like dolls.
I remember that we were started (my friends and I) on the opening of some store when mannequins moved- they were models not mannequins but it felt uncanny:)

Anyhow, one thing we have in common- my box would have to have sweets too! I think my bow would also need to contain a mini kitchen and food supplies ha ha...so I can bake new cakes :)

  11. I saw a preview when they were shooting it and thought how great it was. :) When I was a little girl, Barbie was my ultimate dream and I waited for years before I got one (they weren't available in Russia, so it was my cousin who moved to Germany and then brought me the precious doll).

  13. This is a hard decision!!! But I think I would go with Chanel, Dolce and Gabbana, or Valentino. But really I would kill for an opportunity with any major designer!

  23. I imagine it must have been so much fun to set these shoots up - dreaming up all the items in each box!

I'm not sure what would be in mine.... maybe Parisian holiday, some macarons, the Eiffel tower in the background and my bichon at my side...

  46. I'm a little behind with my blog reading (and my own posts!) with all the Chrismas preparations. I loved this post as it brought back such happy memories! Looking at these fabulous outfits, I kept forgetting they were not really dolls! So clever! Patisserie Barbie, what a great idea. She would have her own three tiered afternoon tea stand!
