Shu Uemura x Karl Lagerfeld Shupette Collection Review
This collection was NOT the cat's meow! Shu Uemura is STILL trying to get rid of sell this Shu Uemura x Karl Lagerfeld Shupette Collection! It came out months ago and I must say, for a Limited Edition collection, what a disaster. I was excited when I first heard about it, then I heard beauty chatter about the poor quality and decided to skip it. The only thing that made me buy two pieces from it weeks later, was an email from Shu Uemura offering a cool tote if I purchased $40 from the collection (see the gif below. fabulous quality and the inside is pink with cute kitten paw prints). I sat on this review, because I didn't want anyone wasting their money. The quality of the cosmetics and packaging are cheap for the exorbitant price they're asking. The silk cushion cheek blush? Go buy Maybelline's bouncy blush (and I dislike it LOL). The Rouge Bon Bon Fantasy Trio (lips)? Go buy Milani in High Voltage (see here) or Marc Jacobs in Neo Noir (see here). The pinks? Weak! Unless you're a super cat collector or Karl Lagerfeld lover, don't even bother with this collection. But I do LOVE my "free" tote! LOL I didn't have kitten ears, so I used bunny ears (don't ask LOL).

Heehee...I like the bunny ears. But seriously, too bad about the collection sucking:( Seriously...if you're gonna price these products like that, they better live up to the expectations, you know? At least, that tote is nice though:D

You know Kim, it's collaborations like this that are part of the reason I have so little respect for Karl Lagerfeld - he will put his name, or his cat's name (!) on anything, regardless of the quality. Such a shame. But your ears are adorable! Perfect for NYE :)

Hi Kim! Not really a fan of shu uemura so I'm gonna pass on this one. Those bunny ears look cute on you! Did you know? I'm scared of cats and not fond of them at all. Seriously, but I'm slowing trying to overcome this fear. Lol. Have a great New Year's Eve tomorrow!

That tote is so cute haha! I'm a sucker for anything with a cats and cute paw prints. Too bad this collection wasn't any good!
ReplyDeleteBoo... I was actually kind of excited on this collaboration and was thinking of getting something from this collection. Although, when it was launched, I didn't like the actual packaging and there was no desire in getting anything from this collection. Besides the cute Chupette on the cover of these makeup items, I don't think there's anything else that would move me. Glad I read your review and glad I didn't get anything from them.
