My two favorite television shows are Downton Abbey and Game of Thrones. I've been a fan of Downton Abbey since Season 1 (Season 5 is currently airing) and I just started Season 2 of Game of Thrones via Netflix. Each is so different, but both are so awesome. Do you watch? What shows are you watching? I'll just say Khal Drago (GOT) didn't have much of a speaking role and I despise Joffrey Baratheon (GOT)! HaHaHa Lady Mary (DA) is "test driving" her suitors! HaHaHa And can Lady Edith (DA) be even more obvious? HaHaHa Moving on...I baked a lemon bundt cake this weekend. I wish I could tell you it was from scratch, but ummm no, I'm not that good. HaHaHa The cake was delicious and I had a couple of slices with some tea later that evening. For my older readers, I'm still using and enjoying all of my Downton Abbey products from Marks & Spencer. I light my candles, pour my bath salts, use my body wash and soak. I then use the lotion, lip balm and put on my Target "silk" pajamas. I try not to do anything major on Sundays. I just devote the day to pampering myself and watching my favorite shows. To sum everything up, I love Lady Mary's quote..."The world moves on, and we must move with it". And let me add to that! While moving on, look BEAUTIFUL doing it ;) Sometimes I feel I should be a character, instead of a person. Have a fantastic week everybody!
That cake looks absolutely delicious! I agree, Kim, we have to take time for ourselves more often than we do it! Sounds like you had a very nice Sunday. Not like me, studying...

Oh yum that cake looks great! :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like such an awesome and relaxing Sunday too Kim! :) I don't watch much TV - never did even before baby, but I have my little shows I try to watch now and then :) No drama ones though, I like my TV funny and mindless so I get a bit of a giggle! :)

ReplyDeleteMy kind of weekend!! I do the same really, Saturdays I have to take my oldest to drama class, but on Sunday, I do nothing, just pamper. Downton is finished here as you know, its ahead. But, it was great and I can not wait for it to come back. And GOT's yessssssssssss....my other favourite, love it. So addicted, can't wait till that's back too. Brilliant shows. That cake looks amazing, love me some cake, hahaha :))) Happy Monday doll xx
ReplyDeleteI usually cook on Sundays, I don't really know that tv show but I'l search for it. I liked Friends, Sex&the city, Gilmore Girls..that kind of stuff :D

Morning Kim! Ah, wish I was at your place and eat that delicious lemon cake, looks so scrumptious! When I saw it this morning on IG, I was watering! I watch Downtown Abbey too, just after having read that old post by you about those products lol! Here we still are at the 4 season. At the moment Im addicted to The Vampire Diaries, totally another genre though!:P That quote is beautiful, I agree with that and with you! Many kisses Kim, you too have a great week! xo
ReplyDeleteThe cake looks delicious! I am a big big fan of Downton Abbey and I already watched the whole season, I am so addicted!

Your Sundays sound just perfect, Kim! And the cake looks delicious :)
ReplyDeleteI started watching Downtown Abbey the last time I was living at my parents in Spain. I watched the whole first season and loved it. Then I moved abroad and totally lost track of it.
I'm also quite a fan of GoT, though after having read the books I'm a bit less enthusiastic about the series - I haven't even finished watching season 4. I guess I'm no longer so eager to see what happens next as I already have a rough idea of the plot. That being said, the series is awesome and they've done and incredible work adapting the books and imaginary worlds!
This cake looks incredible!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm in love with Downton Abbey, no words here... I can't wait for season 6!

I watched Game of Thrones Season 1 but with so much tits swinging left and right in my face, it made me a little self conscious of mine or lack thereof so I kinda quit watching after that. I want to try watching Downtown Abbey, have heard so much of it but I have no patience for drama. I love Person of Interest where everything goes BOOM! What can I say, I'm a man trapped in a woman's body. That sounds wrong but I think you know what I mean... :-P
ReplyDeleteAnd that cake looks absolutely delicious! Send some over please? LOL!
Glad to hear you had a good weekend, Kim! xx

Sunday sounds like a wonderful television night for your Kim. Some yummy cake sounds like the perfect way to enhance that experience. We're watching The Healer with JI Chang Wook, my favorite K-drama hottie of the moment haha. We're also into Castle and The Flash these days. I mostly watch tv with my husband so we try to find shows we both enjoy.
ReplyDeleteWow delicious post!!! I like your blog!!!
ReplyDeletewould you like to follow each other? let me know...I always follow back.

What a lovely tradition! Is Downtown Abbey on Netflix? I haven't checked recently, and I've been wanting to watch it. I remember that they had the old 70s/80s version, and I tried watching it, but I just couldn't do it...there were like 9 seasons, and I was like "I need better costumes!" hhahaha.
ReplyDeleteThat cake looks soo good. Wow. I feel like I can taste it from here!

Your Sundays sound and look delicious.
ReplyDeleteI have yet to watch the shows you are, I am currently watching Gossip Girl reruns and waiting for House of Cards' new season.
Two really great shows! I have friends that live for Downton Abbey. I like those soaps and candles they would make a great gift for the show's fans. :)
ReplyDeleteI love a lazy low key Sunday. Best day to just kick back and relax a bit. Have a great week pretty one! XO

Your Sundays sound just lovely, Kim. Lately I've been trying to end my weeks with a day of rest - it doesn't happen all the time, but when it does, it's wonderful. I haven't started watching Downtown Abbey yet but I'm sure I'll get there. There just seem to be so many shows and not enough time!

Hi Kim! I don't have the guts to watch Game of Thrones. Lol. I've been so busy lately, watching all these singing contests particularly the ones in China. Man, those people can REALLY sing. Anyway, that cake looks delicious and I'm sure it goes well with the tea. :)

Kim, I adore Downton! Mark does as well. :) Game of Thrones I never could get into (although I watch it). Mark and both sons adore it. :) T. http://tickledpinkwoman.blogspot.com

I'm a huge fan of Downton Abbey too, but I haven't watched yet season 5!!! On Sundays I love pampering myself too (the past one I made a hair mask of pure jojoba oil and left it in all day lol), but usually my husband plans one-day trips for the whole family :-) happy Tuesday doll!

You watch Game of Thrones!? Haha, I started that last year, and yeah...it can get addicting. OMGSH, AND YES, HATE JOFFREY WITH A FIERY PASSION! Ugh, he is sheer evil.
ReplyDeleteAnyway...
Haha, love this cute themed post! Mmmm, and now I want something sweet and lemon-y...
The Dragonfruit Diaries
i caught the first season of downton abbey on netflix and was hooked. netflix was so slow to upload new seasons that it kinda faded out of my queue. i need to see if the episodes have been updated.
ReplyDeleteThese Downtown Abbey products look amazing! Love the cake, it looks so yummy ;-)

ReplyDeleteI am perhaps missing out big time, but I don't watch either shows! My husband watches GOT and he loves it but It's just too gory for me. I am definitely interested in Downton Abbey though. I can't believe it's already on Season 5!
ReplyDeleteThat cake looks delicious Kim!!! I'm a huge game of thrones fan. I've been watching since season one and read a few of the books. I'm waiting so impatiently for the new season to come back on tv in April! I've heard good things about downtown Abby, I'll check it out!
ReplyDeleteI was immediately drawn to the title of your post Kim (you know all about my sweet tooth!) but I had problems trying to leave a comment. Good for you having quiet Sundays with plenty of pampering. It's a great idea to just relax before the week ahead. Your cake looks delicious and I particularly like anything flavoured with lemon. Lemon drizzle cake is a favourite of mine! Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to Sunday every week now because of Downton Abbey! I love the show. I am dying to see more of this Russian prince and Violet. I love the witty banter between her and Isobel. As for Mary's suitors, OMG, I'm speechless!!! I'm not a fan of Gillingham, I don't know why, just something about him. However, I'm a fan of Mr Blake, so I hope we see more of him this season :)
ReplyDeletei had no idea M&S did this range!! really miss having access to this store (we had M&S when i was living in malaysia). their biccies are the best!

I love both of them...but I haven't seen all the episodes...when it comes to TV shows, I usually don't watch all the episodes, not sure why it is so.
