L'Occitane Comforting Shea Butter Set Review and Swatches

Jo of White Roses and Coffee blog gave me this beautiful L'Occitane's Comforting Shea Butter Set ($45) for Christmas. I love it and wanted to share my thoughts on everything, before this set goes away, because it is Limited Edition. It contains six products: 0.1 oz Shea Butter Lip Balm, 2.5 oz Shea Butter Shower Cream, 1.7 oz Shea Milk Soap, 2.5 oz Shea Butter Body Lotion, 2.6 oz Shea Butter Hand Cream, and 0.3 oz Shea Butter Foot Cream. When you see the prices for the full sizes, you'll see what a great deal this is! I think this would be a great present for yourself or someone else for Valentine's Day. I LOVE the candy inspired box! Below is my review. Remember to use Ebates!

Sweet-Bittersweet-NotSweet
supersweet(run & buy it) sweet(really good,buy it) bittersweet(ok, issues)not sweet(not good,don't buy this stuff)
L'Occitane Shea Butter Shower Cream is Supersweet
Creamy. Rich. Indulgent. That's how I would describe this shower cream. It has a very clean scent, lathers well and your skin feels hydrated after showering. Absolutely delightful. It's so thick, you will have to remove the cap to get it all out. $22 for the full size.

L'Occitane Shea Milk Soap is Supersweet
I absolutely LOVE this soap, and I'm not a fan of soap! It smells better than the shower cream and it's dreamy. Moisturizing. Clean milky scent. This feels so good to the skin. I wish I had a basket filled to the brim with these soaps! So good! This is $12 per bar.

L'Occitane Shea Butter Body Lotion is Supersweet
You can feel this lotion going into your skin. Same great clean scent. And when I say clean, it won't compete with any fragrance you apply. It's moisturizing without being overwhelming (non greasy, sticky, or heavy). This is $32 for the full size.

L'Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream is Sweet
This hand cream will definitely moisturize your hands. I have really dry skin and it took a while for it to sink into my skin. So a little goes a REALLY long way. Use sparingly. Same clean scent! A full size of this will cost you $28. Trust me this tube is LARGE enough for you! HaHaHa

L'Occitane Shea Butter Foot Cream is Bittersweet
This is more like a moisturizing lotion in my opinion. If you get regular pedicures or take care of your feet yourself, then this will make them even softer. If you're looking for any miracles, such as a solution to cracked heels etc. This will not do it. But it is a very nice lotion for your feet. Nothing necessary, but nice. A full size is $28.

L'Occitane Shea Butter Lip Balm is Sweet
This moisturizes for about 4 hours. There's no taste. Feels great to the lips. This doesn't beat out my beloved Fresh Lip Balms, but I really like it.

  18. The Shea milk soap just sounds decadent. I haven't tried any of the products from this brand before. I would need a miracle foot cream at this point. I feel like the weather here is making my skin drier.

  19. l'occitane is actually one of my favorites. i have used their soap, shampoo & conditioner, body lotion, foot cream and hand cream and loved them all. i also have their travel size pack and take it with me when i'm on the road :) recently i strayed away and bought the burts bees hand cream and eep! it's so greasy. it does absorb and the greasy feeling goes away after awhile but i have to go back to l'occitane :)

  20. That is such a lovely gift set, Kim! I have the hand cream and milk soap but I haven't use both yet. I'm so terrible with testing products. Great review, Kim and now I can't wait to try mine!
Shame about the foot cream though, especially for that price I would've expect wonders!

  21. This looks like a nice set Kim!!! Too bad the foot cream isn't good. You can use vassaline for your feet for way cheaper for that and it works great!!

  22. I always get overwhelmed when I'm in Loccitane shop, because of all scents and I always leave very quickly and with empty hands. But next time when I will see Loccitane shop I will know what to go and look for. Thank you Kim.

  23. I am obsessed with shea butter right now, so I think I might like something like this! Foot creams are tricky, honestly the best thing I have ever used for my feet is lavender Vaseline. I have heard that beeswax does a great job too, I will let you know how that goes.

  24. I love L'Occitane, it's a wonderful brand and I love the 'old style' packaging and ingredients they use! Many of their products smell so fresh and uplifting that they're perfect to use in the morning! :)

Beautiful products and love the photos!!! :)

  25. This is such a cute set KIm. I've alway been a fan of L"Occitane products cause they always smell great. I usually carry that hand cream in my purse and it is a skin saver. Shame about the foot cream but at least everything else worked out pretty well :)

  38. L'Occitane products are my favourite especially the Shea butter product line. I use the hand lotion, body lotion and soap. I was disappointed with the lip balm. It is not very moisturizing and expensive at $13 Cdn. I will not buy the lip balm again.

  39. I love L'Occitane, especially their soap. That stuff makes me want to stay in the shower extra long until I'm a wrinkled prune, lol!
