Smashbox x Donald Robertson #BingToBasel Lipstick Review & Giveaway
If you follow Smashbox on instagram, you may have seen (the end of last year) the Smashbox girls in a cool convertible car with red lips drawn all over it. They traveled to different parts of the US and handed out a red lipstick called Bing (Be Legendary Lipstick) in a limited edition lipstick box. Well, the artist is Donald Robertson and I loved the packaging. Well, I got one for you and me! Online, it is described as a classic red (it's red, but can come across as rasphberry red). It's also VERY matte. This is my first Smashbox lipstick, so I really can't compare it. I prefer a red lipstick to have some kind of gloss or shine to it (like the Guerlain Love Kiss lipstick I reviewed yesterday). This is really matte. So moisturize your lips prior to wearing. Have you tried Smashbox lipsticks? What are your thoughts? I love the packaging more than the lipstick. HaHaHa This giveaway is open WORLDWIDE (anywhere USPS will ship). I'm like Emma...I actually prefer my reds to be matte too, but they are pretty harsh, in that they show every freaking flaw!

You look really good with the shade, Kim. I know it's not your type of lipstick but it honestly look really good on you. I love matte lipsticks, especially for reds hence one of my top favourite is Ruby Woo which is also super drying.

SOrry to hear its not what you expected… I've own several Smashbox lipsticks and in my experience its quite contrary, they are really moisturising.
ReplyDeleteAnother gorgeous red shade. But, like you, I prefer my red lip colours to be less matte - I have very dry lips and matte lipstick has a special way of highlighting that!

That packaging is super cute!! The color looks nice on you Kim! I also prefer my lipsticks to have a little shine to it instead of a true matte!
