Oh Butter London, how I LOVE your nail lacquers! But your makeup? I'm definitely NOT feeling the same kind of love. I'm so disappointed. Gorgeous and sophisticated packaging! Cute product names! But the formulas. Sigh. Let's begin.
Sweet-Bittersweet-NotSweet
supersweet(run & buy it) sweet(really good,buy it) bittersweet(ok, issues)not sweet(not good,don't buy this stuff)
Butter London Abbey Rose Lippy Tinted Balm - Not Sweet
It looks like a lipstick. It's packaged like a lipstick. It has color payoff like a lipstick. But it feels like a lip balm. And not a very good one. This tinted balm feels waxy, heavy and artificial on the lips. Abbey Rose is a beautiful shade that looks great (compliments most skin tones), but for me it didn't FEEL great. You can do better.
Butter London Naughty Biscuit & Honey Pie Cheeky Cream Blushes - Not Sweet
There are several problems with these cream blushes. First, pigmentation. There's very little (if any) color payoff. You can apply all you want and the color never builds, which leads to the second problem. These blushes do not BLEND with your foundation makeup! You apply and they just sit atop your cheeks like wax.
I blurred my photos on purpose so you could see where the blush stops under my eye. These cream blushes are waxy and when the sun hit your cheeks, you will GLOW (and not in a good way). Also, BOTH of these colors came off PINK on my cheeks. Honey Pie is not PINK. Naughty Biscuit is not PINK. So accuracy of color is the third issue. As Cher from Clueless would say, "From far away, it's okay, but up close it's a big old mess." HaHaHa To the makeup graveyard these blushes go (for me)! I'm trashing mine. That's how much I hate them. So glad I got these on sale. I can't recommend them. Have a great weekend :)
