Hey Everybody! Twitter has developed a new app called Periscope. It pretty much does two things. It allows you to GO LIVE from your cell phone and BROADCAST (whatever your message may be) to your subscribers. It also allows you to COMMENT, LISTEN & WATCH LIVE BROADCASTS to whoever you subscribe to. Periscope is growing very quickly, because Twitter developed it. I'm not trying to create any panic, but if I were you I would create a username/account with Periscope right now. You know how usernames go quickly and how some get taken. Lots of companies are already on this app, such as CNN, The Weather Channel, Sephora, Benefit Cosmetics, Harrods, L'Oreal, Lancome, Nordstrom, Zoya Nail Polish, Smashbox, Oprah, Mashable and so many more. I've viewed several accounts, and its a great way to VISUALLY see and find out what's going RIGHT NOW. From a beauty standpoint...beauty companies, bloggers and vloggers are giving previews of new products. I think this app is going to explode, so I wanted to share this information with you (not sponsored). Here's a really good and detailed tutorial by Ana Hoffman on Periscope HERE. I'm listed on the app as averysweetblog (A Very Sweet Blog). I would love to connect with you and subscribe to your account (especially other bloggers & companies). Tell your friends. Tell your family. Please share this. Thanks!
Shoot Is not available for android I guess I have to wait I have an android but thank you for your information you so good at this. Have a great weekend doll.
ReplyDeleteI'm already overwhelmed with social media apps but I can see this one blowing up. Thanks for the tip Kim!

I went head over heels with this APP!
ReplyDeleteI saw part of the Pacquiao - Mayweather fight from Las Vegas last weekend over it !
I totally feel like a dinosaur in this age and time, Kim. Reading your blog helps keep me up to date with all the latest things. Heck i can't keep up with a blog or an Instagram. This sounds cool and i am sure it is going to be the next hot social media tool.
ReplyDeleteI can see this becoming a great way for companies to share events and unveilings. However unlike platforms like Twitcam (anonymous until you chat), Periscope tells the broadcaster exactly who is watching. My dad found this out the hard way after poking around the app. The streamer announced his name and he got freaked out lol.
ReplyDeleteOk Kim, I need to check out that tutorial since I still havent get well how it works and what exactly it does, I know you wrote it but I cant figure out well. Have a marvelous weekend, hugs! xo
ReplyDeleteGotta check it out! Sounds promising! Thanks a lot for sharing, Kim!!!

Thanks for sharing Kim! :)
ReplyDeleteThere are so many new apps coming out! :) I'm not really a big user of the video on instagram though so I don't think I'd use this app a lot. It is easier for me to use youtube for video, I can edit out the bad parts and have as many shots as I like to make it perfect haha!
Hope you enjoy using the app though :)

Thank you for the heads up on this app, Kim, I'm overloaded with social media but will look into this and will connect with you there. xx

The app sounds so cool! Although I have a smart phone, I don't really use it for much. I think it's due to being in front of a computer working 7 days a week!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up, Kim! If the app has been developed by Twitter, you can be sure it's going to pick up a strong following in a very short space of time! Ah, I really need to upgrade my phone..

I didn't get what is this app for, but probably I need to download it in order to get it. Thanks for the tip! It's really nice that you informed us with a post that was not sponsored!

Thank you for sharing, Kim, though I will give it a miss for now because having to manage yet another social medial will probably just finish me off... x
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing. I haven't heard of this app till I saw your blog post. I'll definitely check this out but I'm not sure how many social media I can keep on following. It's kind of hard to keep-up don't you think? I just started checking out Snapchat which looks like it's getting huge too and now you mentioned Periscope. There's just so many out there now.
ReplyDeleteI need android too so will have to wait but it sounds really cool I am sure it will do very well as I agree seeing things on video helps to maybe think to purchase an item I can tell you are pretty excited about it in your post!
ReplyDeleteHave a GREAT rest of the weekend!!
It sounds like a very interactive version of Twitter- just a bit more modern. It seems like there is always the next social media around the corner, and it takes a while for us all to catch up!
ReplyDeleteHi Kim, I might try out this app. I love new stuff! Btw, it's weird how my comments are not showing up. No worries. You know me. :)
