Rituals Sakura Sugar Body Scrub & Sakura Spring Foaming Shower Oil In Organic Rice & Cherry Blossom Review and Swatches

I received two products from Rituals for review. Their name alone intrigued me. It made me think differently about showering, bathing and the process of taking care of myself. When you think about it, getting ready is a process. Sometimes that process is rushed. Sometimes it's much slower & enjoyable. But no matter what, you should feel better afterwards than you did before. That IS the overall goal :) The words I would use to describe Ritual's products would be therapeutic, relaxing, calming, peaceful and just overall serenity. All are treasures in today's world. Rituals seems to have successfully bottled all of those wonderful things up! Whether you have only 15 minutes or a full hour to get ready, these products will make you feel superb! Below are my thoughts on each.

Rituals Sakura Sugar Body Scrub (Organic Rice Milk and Cherry Blossom)

This scrub is delightful! The scent reminds me of cucumber water. It's very light, clean & fresh! Doesn't the consistency look like a margarita? I had to make a gif to show you. This scrub did an excellent job exfoliating my skin and it moisturized without leaving me feeling greasy or oily. I also loved the fact that it washed away clean. You're left with a light scent, that won't conflict with your favorite perfume or lotion. This is definitely a scrub (not polisher), but it's not harsh on the skin.

Rituals Sakura Spring Foaming Shower Oil (Organic Rice Milk & Cherry Blossom)

Do you love cherry blossom trees? Besides being gorgeous, their scent is very uplifting, cheery & calming. The same holds true for this foaming shower oil. When it comes to scented products, the first thing I look for is authenticity. I hate artificial scents. The scent for this foaming shower oil is very authentic. It's light. It's subtle. It's refreshing. I was worried about this being an oil, but as soon as water is added it foams up. It gives you just enough lather to cleanse. You feel clean. It rinses clean. Your skin feels soft and moisturized afterwards. You're left with a light scent. I love this. I want to get more into aromatherapy, because I wasn't feeling the best Sunday and this foaming shower oil really made me feel better. I truly believe, scents can help you feel better. I will definitely have to get more products from Rituals. They have a fabulous collection of  asian, yoga, zen, therapeutic, de-stressing and feel good products. So definitely check out their website. A nice lady during my Periscope broadcast (you can view it for 24 hrs after the original broadcast ) yesterday, asked me if Rituals had skincare? They have skincare, at home and body products! So this was a wonderful discovery! Thanks for letting me try your products Rituals! I was very impressed!

  1. Oh the intro alone sold me Kim, haha! Anything to help feel more relaxed!

A few years ago I went on a trip and I really liked the shower gel the hotel provided us...I was so relaxed on that trip I had to take the little bottle of shower gel home, ha! I was sneaky and hid a half full one so they replaced it with a new one that I could take home ;) Every now and then I use it - nearly all run out of it now! As it is just so calming and relaxing and takes me back to that happy trip! :)

  7. I like that it start as oil but gives lather when in use I get worry if is oil consistency, not that some oil are not great for the skin, but I prefer it forms into lather when use in face and on my body great review.

  12. I've been intrigued by Rituals ever since Fleur de Force mentioned them in her videos. I totally agree with you about scents being able to completely lift your mood. I love lighting candles when I take baths, and I also really like using Lush bath bombs because they're so scented. Thanks for sharing this great review!

  34. I really enjoy both the look and smell of cherry blossoms. My immediate association with the trees in bloom are the beautiful maiko and geisha in Kyoto, Japan. For me pampering is often ritualized and these products sound like are great way to relax and recharge. Glad you are enjoying them!
