Tarte Amazonian Butter Lipstick Review and Swatches in Poppy, Tulip, Watermelon, Plummy Rose, Coral Blossom and Pink Peony

It was the packaging that first attracted me to Tarte's Amazonian Butter Lipsticks (not sponsored). I thought the prints on the lipstick cases were so pretty. What I was concerned about, was how the lipsticks performed? I've fallen victim to pretty packaging many times. So I decided to wait until Tarte had a sale. They had a really good one around the end of last year. So I was able to purchase an assortment of shades (shown below). Well I'm happy to tell you, the lipsticks are as great as the packaging. They're creamy. They're moisturizing. They apply very well, have staying power, feel good to the lips and give off just the right amount of shine. All the colors are very soft! There's nothing harsh or jarring about any of them. Even the reds and deeper tones are pleasant. My favorite shades are poppy, tulip and plummy rose. The only shade I didn't particularly care for on myself was coral blossom, but even it wasn't that bad. So don't be afraid to purchase these for yourself. The biggest decision you'll have to make is what color you want (currently there are 8 shades) or what color suits you. The quality of each is superb. Feel free to click on pictures to make larger.
