Below are my favorites from (Fashion Week) Sao Paulo, Australia, Russia, Seoul, Tokyo, and Istanbul. I grouped them together, because there weren't as many designers. I hope this will change in the future. There needs to be more exposure for smaller international designers. I love seeing fashion on a global scale and overtime I think it will be easier for consumers to buy international products. It's already happening in the world of beauty. I think designer fashion companies will make their products more accessible for the consumer as well. And that brings me to FYI: Sometime in the Fall,
Style.com will become a global eCommerce website. Fashion and runway coverage will move to
Voguerunway.com (site hasn't transferred yet). Wasn't sure if you were aware of that change, but I wanted to inform you. I'm so use to going to Style.com for everything. That will be an adjustment.

I do love Australian Fashion Week and Bianca Spender was definitely a favourite for me this season. It is so strange to think that soon we won't get our runway coverage from Style.com - it's going to take me a while to adjust, I think!

I smiled when I saw the Aussie designers Kim :) I think I'm a little bit patriotic, although I don't own that much Australian fashion myself. I have a few pieces of Sass and Bide I guess.

Love Pat Bo and Lenny Niemeyer. Their collections are very feminine, classic with pops of bright colour ;-)
ReplyDeleteIt will definitely take a time to adjust. I never can put myself in some particular style or part of the world. I always liked and still like to mix, so this selection is so yummy, I would mix and match.

I loved that you shared these Kim! There is so much amazing global talent when it comes to fashion design and you're so right that there's needs to be more exposure for them especially the less established ones.

Thanks for the inspiration Kim. I've only been keeping up with Australian and Brazil runway fashions, aside from the usual Fashion Weeks. I love the last b lack dress in the São Paulo set, and jackets in Australia's sets. :)

Thanks for posting this, Kim. I must admit that I only really check to see the biggest ones like NYFW and LFW that I forget how amazing international designers are all over.
ReplyDeleteAnd you know, I know it's only a website, but I'm kinda sad that style.com is ending just because I've been so used to that site for years...sigh....I feel like it's an end of an era.
Yaustoshi Ezumi's collection looks so lovely! <3
ReplyDeleteI would quite happily take everything hope from the Yasutoshi Ezumi collection - the fur trimmings are so stylish! Great selection Kim, you have fantastic taste :)

I've never heard of Pat Bo but absolutely LOVE the part of your collection you shared! Great choices Kim xxx
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous, quite love the use of orange in some of these. Usually it's not a colour I wear a lot of, but I'd wear those. Very sleek and imaginative :)) xx
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh...sooo much to drool over. Such pretty fashions!! I loove the first one Animale...the chic whites and blacks soo me. But then Pat Bo...that first and second dress. Oh yeah, I'd rock those!!
ReplyDeleteI think my favorite look has to be the Miss Gee Collection from Seoul Fall 2015...that first look with the vintage t-strap shoes, beret and adorable outfit is soooo cute!!

ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed this post, Kim!
loving the miss gee collection. very street and a bit edgy.
ReplyDeleteWow these looks are so amazing my favorite out of all of them would have to be Animale. Thanks for sharing this post I learned about so many new designers. I'm definitely looking forward to more. I agree with you as well, Designers should make their items more accessible to their consumers in other countries.
