After you exfoliate and clean your feet, it's important to moisturize. Moisturized feet are less likely to crack, callous and/or split. Before truly taking care of my feet, I had a small split on my heel. One day I saw a presentation about
Surgeon's Secret (also on Amazon, QVC), which was developed by a plastic surgeon. The original purpose was to keep wounds from getting infected and reduce scarring. I purchased it (I prefer the vanilla scent to the honey & almond one)(1st shown
here), applied it to my heels, and put a sock on overnight. The next morning I couldn't get over how soft the bottoms of my feet were and how it had started closing the split on my heel. You truly see results overnight. So to this day, I still use it. What I like, is that it's non-toxic and all natural. It's composed of 50% beeswax, lanolin and light mineral oil. I love the packaging and that it's a twist up stick, because it's great for traveling (easy to pack). Other products that I've used on my feet are petroleum jelly (vaseline) and
Aveeno's skin healing ointment. I truly love ALL three and find them EXTREMELY effective for moisturizing dry skin on (feet). So those are my picks! I wanted to share them with you. I also want to mention (this is not a sponsored post), Surgeon's Secret has an array of other products like lip balm, body wash and lotion, I want to try. I'll do reviews as I purchase them.

ReplyDeleteVaseline is the only product I use on my heels. I love to put socks on after doing so. It keeps my skin soft and crack-free.
ReplyDeleteThanks for introducing us to this product. It sounds good.
It sounds like a great product Kim! I wish we had something like that here!
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking about switching my skincare/makeup to more natural things. moisturisers and creams seem to be the easiest to start with, like these ones! :) Just trying different things as I come across them to see what works :)

I am surprised that he is a doctor and still adds mineral oils to the product being well-aware of the side effects... And if he isn't aware, then... I really like the packaging, but am afraid, not a fun of mineral oils, lanolin or petroleum jelly. But that's just me. x
ReplyDeleteI totally need to try this because OMG I have the worst feet. I have pointe shoe feet that haven't seen tender love since.... Idk when. I want to wear sandals, damnit.

ReplyDeleteThis sounds like amazing stuff! My mom always had these terrible dry and split feet.. I always wonder if that will be my future. It looks SO painful.
ReplyDeleteThis stuff sounds wonderful! I love how it's made with beeswax and developed by a doctor. Definitely trustworthy.
ReplyDeleteI've dealt with a heel split before and truly didn't even think about infection--until now. Great point. This sounds like a great product, Kim. T. http://tickledpinkwoman.blogspot.com

I'm adding this to my list! I like how it is applied with the twist-stick and still effective.
ReplyDeleteThis brand is new to me so thanks for the introduction. I'm always on the lookout for foot products which really work and this all sounds very impressive! Definitely must try it.
ReplyDeleteAs it is now sandals season I really need to take better care of my feet so that I can feel comfortable with other people seeing them. Products developed by doctors always seem so much more legit and of course I love things that include honey or beeswax! Bzzz!
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of natural and organic products and this one is no different! 50% of beeswax sounds promising, my heels are dying to try this product! ;D Wonderful review, Kim! <3
