My 4th Of July Beauty Haul

Hey Everybody! I hope you had a great weekend! Mine was a relaxing one. I had plenty of bbq, watched the pope's arrival in Ecuador, the Royal Christening (Princess Charlotte), and the FIFA World Cup. I also did some online shopping. I've had some products on my beauty wishlist for awhile, so I took advantage of some great deals this weekend. I'm currently testing Too Faced's New Born This Way Foundation and loving it (I'm wearing it in the Happiness Boutique pictures below). However, the Smashbox primer I use makes it more matte (drier). So I ordered (1) Too Faced's Primed & Poreless Primer and Pressed Powder (since I didn't care for Hangover Rx), (2) Smashbox's Hydrating Primer and (3) Murad's New Invisiblur Perfecting Shield which is a 3 in 1 that (treats / blurs / protects). So I'll see how those work with the foundation! FYI, The Murad is $65, but you can find it on QVC for $59. I've heard so much about (4) Real Technique makeup brushes! So I purchased some, via Ulta & Walgreens who were running a buy 1, 50% off sale. I've also heard great things about Sigma brushes (so maybe next time). Ulta is now selling Makeup Revolution (British brand) products! They don't have their ENTIRE collection, but they do have some of their most recent products. (5) Makeup Revolution's Sugar & Spice blush palette has been on my list, so I ordered that. I was looking at some YouTube videos and a vlogger (What Would Lizzy Do - LOVE HER!) mentioned (6) HASK hair products (Macadamia). I'm currently loving what I'm using (not ready to reveal), but it's high as hell (from Nordstrom)! So I'm going to try HASK, which can be found at Ulta, Walgreens and Hask. The power of a picture! A blogger posted swatches of  three (7) NYX Intense Butter Glosses (Chocolate Crepe, Toasted Marshmallow, Tres Leches) on instagram. They were 1/2 price at Ulta, so I ordered them. I'm so glad I saw her swatches, because the colors look totally different on the packaging & swatches on the site. Finally, a long time ago I tried Mally Beauty, so I wanted to revisit her products. She made the funniest YouTube videos. I use to watch her before I knew anything about the blogging world. I ordered her (8) Shimmer, Shape & Glow and two (9) High Shine Liquid Lipsticks (in Southern & Summer Peach). So all of this should be coming in later this week! I STILL need to review some products I purchased in April from my Sephora Beauty Haul. I never forget, but I can be slow as hell when reviewing things >.< Have you tried any of these products? What did you do this weekend?

  5. Glad to hear you had a relaxing 4th Kim! Mine was kind of chill as well and we got some projects done around the apt. The highlight was definitely watching the fireworks w/o having to leave home. You ordered some cool stuff and I can't wait to read your reviews. I love Real Techniques brushes. They perform really well for the price. I met the Pixiwoo ladies behind the brand last week and they have some exciting products in the works :)

  31. What a fab haul, Kim! I adore NYX. I bought the Wicked Lippie in Wrath after seeing on your blog and it's one of my all-time fave lipsticks. These "yummy" butter glosses look equally fabulous. T. http://tickledpinkwoman.blogspot.com

  32. wow, WOW! great haul. look forward to your thoughts on the real techniques brushes. i love murad. used the line years ago when i worked at a salon (and got a discount!), but they are pricey.

  33. I am so happy when Jackie is back from vacation. She is one of my biggest cheerleaders! I am glad you had fun too hun. Now that's what I call a haul. I love these products, especially number six. You know how I go crazy about hair stuff. I have tried Murad products before and I really loved them. I also purchased real technique for my sister on Ulta.com for Christmas, but I have no idea if they are good or not. The only NYX product that I own is a matte lipstick. It looks like chalk on my lips, but I make it work with my lip gloss. Okay, I think I said too much. Kisses babe! I really want to try the hangover Rx. Lol!

  38. Hi Kim! I'm so curious to hear how you like the hydrating Smashbox primer because I always just get the regular clear one and it is definitely my favorite primer. Also, let me know how you like the Murad perfecting blur because I found it nice on it's own and the texture is very smooth, but I noticed when I tried to add foundation over it didn't work so well and bunched up.
