Apple Of My Eye...Hopefully
I wasn't expecting to take a blog break, but my Dell Laptop died on me yesterday. I really can't complain, because I got YEARS out of it. I loved my Dell. I stepped out of my comfort zone and ordered an Apple MacBook Air. It's expected to arrive next week. I've been watching YouTube tutorials via my cell phone on how to use it. Wish me luck! Lol I just wanted to let you guys know what was going on. Upon my return, I'll let you know what sensitive skincare collections worked for me! I'm happy to say there are THREE! I'll also have two giveaways! For other ramblings, follow me on Snapchat (averysweetblog)! In the meantime, I'll have lots of time to take pictures for future posts and maybe get some reading time in. Not having a laptop or being able to blog feels so (not) funny. Lol Love you guys!
Heh I was wondering if you were on a little blogging vacation last week! We had Apple computers at the college I went too and it's definitely a task trying to get used to all the changes so I'm sure it helps you've been studying up. Plus, the little break to get ahead on future posts ain't always a bad thing! :)
ReplyDeleteLove you hun! and rest in peace Dell! I went from a dell to my macbook and love it!
ReplyDeleteI miss your post and you;ll doing fine with MAC for sure, I moved on from my windows laptop too and now using Macbook which is so much better :D

Aww no sorry about your computer!
ReplyDeleteMine is on it's last legs too I dread the day it will eventually give up. I bought it on super clearance for $300 about 3 or 4 years ago though so I really can't complain, it's more amazing that it's lasted this long!
Hope you enjoy your new laptop when it arrives!

Oh poor Dell but it's great that you did get years out of it! See you soon with your new apple of your eye :)
ReplyDeleteMy laptop just died on me too and I have been debating what I should do about a new computer. I have used PCs all of my life but I really want a Mac.
ReplyDeleteOh dear, that's the most painful part. Hope all goes well & meanwhile, take a good break, Kim! xoxo
ReplyDeleteAww, RIP Dell.

Those Dell computers - they don't necessarily set themselves apart at first, but they are sturdy! I have one that I got for university and, although it's slow, it still works after eleven years. It's a shame to hear that yours finally died. Moving to a Mac definitely takes getting used to. I made the switch last year and there are still things I don't love but they absolutely win for portability - so light! - and battery life. I hope you'll love yours :)

Sorry to hear about your laptop, Kim but on another note, you will LOVE your MacBook! Hubby bought me MacBook pro when we arrived here and the first 2 weeks was so frustrating for me, I had to learn how to use it and everything was new and strange. It's like my first time on a computer. LOL! And now it's just impossible for me to go back using Windows, it's really good! xx

Good luck learning your new Mac. I would be clueless with one! Luckily we have youtube to save the day. It helped when I got a new advanced camera that felt out of my league!
ReplyDeleteAw shucks. I got a macbook air a couple of months ago and love it! It's so easy to bring it everywhere. It took me a while to get used to it but once you get the hang of it, I'm sure you'll love it too:)
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about your Dell. Wish you all the best!
ReplyDeleteOh I hear you about the break, my step family is in town from Paris and this week I had to have a procedure done on my heart and the internet went down-dead router so I have been MIA myself. But you are going to love your new MAC.

I know what you mean; it's amazing how dependent I am on my computer.
ReplyDeleteI've been on the fence regarding the macbook air; I can't wait to hear and see if you like it or not.
Love you,Kim! Hope everything falls into place soon!!
ReplyDeleteBummer about your laptop Kim! You use and iPhone don't you? I don't think you have a problem with the MacBook Air if that's the case. I've been a long time Apple user and I find them so much easier than PCs. Looking forward to your return :)

Well, once you go MAC - there's no going back :)
ReplyDeleteWos, I really want a Mac so badly! Not that much different I had to use Macs in school for my photoshop class. It does take a little getting used to, but great upgrade! Have a good little break. :))

ReplyDeleteOnce you go MAC there's no way back ! You're gonna hate it the first three days, then you'll ask yourself what took you so long!?
ReplyDeleteAww too bad about your computer!! I hope you like your Mac though! I have the Mac book pro but I'm not very tech savvy so I don't know how much help Id be if you needed something LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about your computer! That's so frustrating.
ReplyDeleteI have a Dell aslo...had it for years, so I am pretty sure it's on its last legs also. I hope you love your new Mac.

Oh, Kim I can share with you your pain. To loose laptop is so hard. Couple years ago mine died too and decided to get new was hard. I know that it will take a time to make friends with new one. It always do, especially when it's Mac. Good luck!

So sorry to hear that Kim! But at the same time, I'm happy because I love macbooks! My macbook pro is my very first laptop, I never own any other brands. Honestly, I don't know if I can live without it. Let me know if you like.

That's so exciting to get an Apple MacBook. I hope you will like it! All the best!
ReplyDeleteAwwww man... it really sux when laptops die on their owners like that. Before this current ASUS laptop, I was using a bimbotic pink DELL laptop which also died on me suddenly. That said, it has done its part and I was happy with it. A Toshiba sales assistant once told me that DELL means "don't ever last long". It wasn't that true for me but true for the hubz. It's such courage to take the plunge into Mac. Even though I use an iPhone, I can't handle a Mac well. Both my sisters use Mac and I do not know how to use their laptop and PC. Learning from the videos before your mac arrives is a very smart smooth, Kim. Way to go!
ReplyDeleteI feel like I've not been here for a long time and am glad that we are connected on IG too. Been quite bz with lots of work stuff and new house and it really feels good to be ack on blogosphere. Take this opportunity to take a good break away from social media while the Mac arrives.

Kim, I bought my first Apple laptop about four years ago and I have loved it! Before then, I had a Dell--like you. I was the last Apple "holdout" in our family. :) When I made the switch, I was convinced I'd made the right choice. Enjoy your break! I'm getting ready to take one soon as we will be headed off for vacation. :) Hugs, T. http://tickledpinkwoman.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteHa, my computer almost died and it's probably on it's last leg to be honest. I somehow revived it. I'm currently trying to find an affordable replacement myself. OMG, I would love to get a Apple Macbook though my programs wouldn't work on it so poo on that. :( I can't wait to see how you love it though. I freak out when I can't access my email for a day...so I know how you feel. *wink*
