The next skincare collection that I had success with, was
Aveeno's Ultra Calming Skincare Collection. It's perfect for dry and sensitive skin! I had really good results while using it. It's also very affordable. Aveeno sent me the following products to try. Below are my thoughts.
Sweet-Bittersweet-NotSweet
supersweet(run & buy it) sweet(really good,buy it) bittersweet(ok, issues)not sweet(not good,don't buy this stuff)
Aveeno Ultra Calming Foaming Cleanser - Supersweet
The first time I used this cleanser, was the end of last year. I was reading
my original review on it after trying it again this year, and I feel exactly the same way about it. It's gentle on dry, sensitive reactive skin. It can be used day & night. I never experienced any type of reaction while using the product. A dermatologist recommended Cetaphil cleanser for me years ago, and I feel this particular cleanser is a step up if you feel that Cetaphil is just too gentle (and you need more). I would definitely recommend this cleanser. It also comes at a price point that is affordable for everyone.
Aveeno Ultra Calming Daily Moisturizer - Bittersweet
This is an ok moisturizer. I gave it a Bittersweet rating, because I feel it's lightweight. It moisturizes, but for me it doesn't moisturize quite enough. My dry skin sucks it up! I think anyone with dry skin would need about 3 pumps of this. It dries very quickly. The formula is good. There's nothing bad about it. It feels good to the skin, but it just doesn't provide a lot of moisture. What I suggest you purchase is the night cream, that I'm about to mention below.
Aveeno Ultra Calming Nourishing Night Cream - Supersweet
If there is a SUPERSTAR in this collection, it is this product! I did an extensive review on it earlier this year (linked below) and I am still that EXCITED about it. This night cream is the absolute BEST I have ever tried. Its moisturizing, without being over the top. Your skin will feel so soft after using this. I SUPER LOVE THIS STUFF! This night cream is so good, you can use it day or night. It is not heavy. It will not bother your makeup application. I love it! That's why I say, skip the daily moisturizer above and just get a jar of this stuff. You will thank me! Yes you will! I believe in this so much, I'm giving a jar away to a lucky reader of AVSB. So definitely enter via Rafflecopter below. This giveaway is open Worldwide. You can read my original review on it
here. It's THE BOMB!
Aveeno Ultra Calming Makeup Removing Wipes - Sweet
I was interested in trying these, because I tried the
Aveeno Positively Radiant Makeup Removing Wipes in early 2014. So I wanted to compare the two! I never had a problem or experienced any type of reaction while using the Positively Radiant Makeup Removing Wipes. If you click on my old review above, you'll see from the gifs those wipes removed makeup quickly and easily. The Ultra Calming Makeup Removing Wipes are definitely more gentle. With the Positively Radiant Wipes you only needed one to get makeup off. With the Ultra Calming (depending on how much makeup you have on) you may need two! The formula for these wipes are that gentle. If you use a lot of makeup, go with the Positively Radiant. It won't affect your skin. If you just use light makeup, then pick these up. Both are really good.
Lovely reviews. Those whipes sound great! You just reminded me I need to get some. I like to use them when I'm travelling. That night cream sounds even better. Thanks for organizing this lovely review.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day dear Kim!
They all must be very good Kim, in particular wish I tried the foam cleanser and the night cream. Maybe only the moisturizer seems little disappointing, nevertheless this brand still got such amazing products that always enjoy. Hugs Kim, have a good day! xo

Away From The Blue Blog
The 'Nourishing Night Cream' sounds wonderful, my moisturiser/cream is for any time of day, though I'll admit to being curious about time-specific creams :)

I am sold on that night cream! I'm a huge Aveeno fan, which I think I've told you before but it bears repeating:D
ReplyDeleteI have always loved aveeno products! I don't think I have ever tried something by them I didn't like. I don't think I've checked out this line of theirs though, will have to look for it next time i go to replace some of my products!

Aveeno always puts out. I agree that after putting the lotion on the skin it's too thin to soak into dry skin. You know I'm a redhead and have super pale sensitive skin! The foam cleanser I will give a try (it's about time to go shopping for beauty and hygiene products. The night cream I know I'd love! My mother uses some Neveno (?) night cream, I prefer Aveeno or Vaseline lotion. I only wear mascara, so most make up removers (including eye make up removers) have never failed to end up burning my eyes or skin. Maybe I'll also give these a try of they can be used on eyes.

I've always found Aveeno face products to be drying - not overly so, just enough that I would notice and want to change to something else. That night cream sounds like a dream, though. Every time you write about Aveeno, I really think I should give them another try :)
ReplyDeletexox,
Cee
I used to use Aveeno cleanser and moisturizer. I loved their products, particularly for their affordability. My only reason for changing was my desire for heavy duty anti aging wonders as I was growing older. :)
ReplyDeleteI quite using wipes years and years ago after the whole hoo-hah about how bad they are for the skin but this one sounds brilliant! Thank you so much for another great giveaway, Kim!
