ULTA Beauty Toasted Vanilla & Frosted Pumpkin Bakery Shower Gel And Body Lotion Review

Do you change your body washes & lotions (scents) each season? I purchased 2 sets from Ulta Beauty. One is called Frosted Pumpkin and the other is called Toasted Vanilla :) They're still available, so I thought I would share my thoughts. Please share what you're currently loving for Fall in comments!

Ulta Frosted Pumpkin Bakery Shower Gel & Body Lotion - Supersweet

This is my favorite scent! I love pumpkin. It smells like freshly baked pumpkin cupcakes with buttercream icing. Mmmm! The scent is very pleasant and not over the top sweet. I love it :)


Ulta Toasted Vanilla Bakery Shower Gel & Body Lotion - Bittersweet

This one is ok, but I feel there's something missing. I get the toasted part (toasted coconut), but there's not enough vanilla. It's a little weak. I've had better vanilla scented products, BUT that is what I get for ordering online and not going into the store to try it (but I've been consumed with remodeling: contractors, plumbers, electricians...so currently it's hard to get away).


Well, those are my thoughts on the scents :) As far as performance, both were great! Both shower gels lathered beautifully and washed away cleanly. The scent only lingers a little while after showering. If you want the scent to last hours (do not expect it to last all day) purchase the body lotion. Both were creamy & moisturizing. They sink really well into the skin :) They're not heavy or greasy. Have you purchased any new scents lately? Have a great weekend!

    These look so fun. Bummer that the vanilla scented one was so weak on the vanilla. I'm one of those boring people who doesn't switch up my scents by season.

    Hmm, so far I have noticed myself preferring Angel by Theirry Mugler again, the whole summer I was wearing J'adore by Dior. I haven't bought anything new in terms of candles, body wash or body lotion but let's see how it goes as the week pass.

    Shame that vanilla one didn't have the best scent - it sounds the nicest!

    Although as I'm saying that I've just eaten a bowl of pumpkin soup so I do like that scent too! :)

    I'm not a fan of pumpkin so I don't think that is for me hahaha! Shame about the vanilla too. I'm not a huge fan vanilla either, but if I buy something that has vanilla in it, then I want to smell vanilla.

    I like vanilla so that is disappointing that was not enhance in that product will love to try the pumpkin one so fall and is perfect. I'm like you always get mad when I order online and which to try in person lol. Have a lovely weekend doll.

    I like vanilla but I don't like it to be overwhelming so perhaps this faint scent of vanilla would be perfect for me. These products do sound lovely and it good news they are mosturizing. Currently I'm using a showel gel by Afrodita, it is a Slovenian brand that is quite popular here in Europe. I'm using coconut body cream from Balea and I often buy products from this German brand, their products are really affordable but of good quality. There are a few products I'm satisfied this Fall... but there is only one beauty product I'm crazy about and I bought it this Summer...it is femme fatale lip pencil by Essence. I use it quite often and I really love it.

    I remember you've mentioned this change before, a while ago. And I think it's so sweet and a wonderful way to add something exciting to each season, like a fragrant memory. :) I don't tend to swap mine, just really like the usual thing, but if I found something that truly makes me think of autumn, I'd definitely change between my products, too. :)

    While I dont change lotions or shower gels per season, I do change them.
    I'll try a new brand and then go back to the usual.. and then try another and go back to my original.
    It's a cycle.

    I change my body washes every time I run out, which... is more often than I should, probably, but when they smell good, I use more! Can't help it :) I'm not a huge fan of pumpkin scents but I do love vanilla, it's a shame this one was only okay.

    Frosted Pumpkin....that sounds delightful, shame one can't eat it. I like to change scents and products for the seasons, sometimes I forget to or don't find one I like. But, it is fun to change them around. The scents they bring out at Fall time are always lovely xx
