2016 SAG Awards Red Carpet

Sample Sunday will return next week :) Last night was all about the SAG Awards! The million dollar fashion question IS...Did you like the Louis Vuitton dress Alicia Vikander wore (see picture below)? I kept going back & forth with it! At one angle it looked great. Another angle, not so much. It's definitely a hard dress to pull off with it's 70's sequins, block-style vibe. In the end I think she pulled it off. Let me know YOUR thoughts! My FAVORITE was Rachel McAdams in Elie Saab. Gorgeous details. (Picture Credits: E Online 2016 SAG Awards Red Carpet Arrivals and US Magazine). Truly happy for Viola Davis, Idris Elba, The Downton Abbey Cast and Leonardo DiCaprio. Whenever they show the actors who have passed, I'm like OH NO, HE/SHE DIED? Despite all the social media, I always miss some.

Rachel McAdams in Elie Saab, Kathryn Hahn in Giorgio Armani, Jessica Pare in Kaufman Franco ,
Julia Louis-Dreyfus in Monique Lhuillier, Sophie Turner in House Of Herrera

  3. Ooh thank you for the round up Kim because I always miss the SAG awards and I love Awards Season fashion. I know what you mean about Alicia Vikander in Louis Vuitton. At first I thought it was stunning, but then it looked like too much and that's really hard to pull off. But over-all, I'm obsessed with the 70s style right now and sequins so I love it! :) I agree with your review.

  4. A great fashion roundup, Kim and I'm not sure about the dress...I mean it's okay at a glance but when I look at it again, I'm feeling wtf is that.

  6. Honestly I probably wouldn't have liked the gown on anyone but Aliciia Vikander. It was a little unusual but I think she made it work. She has been killing it on the red carpet lately. Totally thrilled for Idris Elba! He deserved both awards.

  7. I love love love the LV dress. Rowena's right. I probably wouldn't have liked it on anyone but Alicia though:D I just think she's amazing and can pull off anything.
And yay for Idris Elba. He's just so hot:D

  8. Too many gorgeous gowns to pick a favorite! I do love the Louis Vuitton dress. It's not really sexy but is a show stopper! I used to be so good about watching the movies before awards season but I seem to have become too busy in recent years. :(

  9. I can see why you're a bit torn over that Louis Vuitton dress Kim. It is beautiful and intricate and makes a statement but it does look a bit much as well. Either way though I think she wears it well!

  13. I absolutely loved Alicia Vikander's dress. I don't think I would have chosen it myself but it's so nice to occasionally see someone take a true risk on the red carpet - especially when it works, which I think it did for her. If it were me there, I probably would have worn something more like Sarah Silverman did ;)

  14. Sarah Silverman's dress is so pretty! If I could, I'd dress in Vivienne Westwood forever! (But so expensive)
