Murad Essential C Night Moisture Review

Press Sample - I went from loathing to loving Murad's Essential C Night Moisture in a matter of two nights. HaHaHa It was not love at first application for me. It had a citrus-medicine scent :( It sat atop my skin :( I didn't feel or see a difference the first night (I know...me & my high expectations). After the second night, I felt my skin and said, "hey, we might just have something here!' My skin felt super soft. As I kept using it, my skin also felt plumper & firmer. Night creams have a tendency to be really heavy. This one isn't, but again ... don't expect it to sink into the skin. However it must be doing something for me to feel the difference in my skin in only 2 nights. This night cream contains Vitamins A, C & E. It also has Shea Butter, Algae & Grape Seed. All of this promotes hydration, cell turnover, skin firmness and tone. My results were only softness & firmness. My current night cream is Aveeno's Ultra Calming Nourishing Night Cream. I super love it and will not stop using it every night. However, I will implement using Murad's Essential C Night Moisture 1-2 times a week in conjunction with the Aveeno. For me, the Aveeno provides the MOISTURE my dry skin needs and the Murad provides softness & firmness. It's good, but someone with really dry skin (like mine) needs a little more. 2. Glad that this is working for you. Sometimes you need to try something a few times before you decide if you like it or not.

  3. Sometimes it takes a couple days for things to work for your skin! I don't like things that just sit on top either, but maybe your skin just had to get use to a new product Kim!

  4. Great review, Kim! I wonder how this would hold up on oily skin? I hope you're having a great day so far, beauty, and thanks so much for sharing!

  6. I know what you mean about this moisturizer Kim. I remember the first time I tried it, I didn't think much about it so I gave it to my husband and he loved it. lol so I almost stole it back but he used it every night for a few weeks and loved it. Definitely need to order it. I think it's perfect after the Murad Vitamin C peel.

  7. To notice differences after two nights is very impressive, Kim! And that's the way with some products, isn't it? Start off on the wrong foot but eventually we realized how great it is and we fall head over heels in love.

  8. Hurrah for skin care products that rock! I've always been leery of trying new ones because I break out so easily, but this one sounds pretty great, Kim:) And yeah...have been lucky with Murad so far.

  9. Oooh, citrus-medicinal smell is the WORST! But thank goodness they can combat that with an effective formula. Aha, that helps :P
Sorry I haven't been around in forever Kim, it's been a rough few weeks of adjusting to reality after a dream spring break!
Anyway, always love your thorough reviews. Murad is a brand that's on my list to try, so good to hear they passed your test ;)

  10. Wow - a difference in only two nights really is impressive! That said, I recently had an horrible reaction to a citrus skincare product from another brand, so I'm steering clear of any products with citrus for the next little while...

  15. I really like products with Vitamin C. Normally, I use a serum, but this night cream sounds nice. I don't like heavy products at night, but lately I've noticed that I can tolerate a bit more. Sounds good!

  16. I'm not a big fan of lotions that don't absorb into the skin. For years now I have been extremely happy with Loreal's night creams. They absorb well and my skin look amazing in the morning!

  17. I hope the citrus smell is really not that bad. Murad always produce reliable products.

  18. Having firmer skin is a must. It's good when you have a product that can help with that. I would use both products at night, too. I don't blame ya!

  20. I know what you mean by night cream. It's a lot heavier than day cream, but this one sounds very promising. I think I might use it on my neck too (getting wrinkly lately). Lol.
