Murad Skin Smoothing Polish Review

Do you use a face scrub or polish in your skincare routine? Having BOTH dry & sensitive skin has always led me to mentally sing TLC's I don't want NO SCRUBS whenever I saw either. HaHaHa Scrubs were always too harsh and would leave my skin either red, irritated or with small patchy rashes. I've had better luck with polishers. Polishers are definitely more gentle. I've tried Laura Mercier's & Benefit's polishers (see here). However, I still could only use them once a week. Murad's Skin Smoothing Polish is brand new. There was something about it that caught my eye & made me want to try it. I think it was the pink color (HaHaHa) and for some reason it reminded me of strawberry yogurt or a strawberry smoothie for the skin (of course). LOL Let me start off by saying, this polish (to my nose) has a very light strawberry scent (or maybe I want it to). It's absolutely delightful. Also a little, goes a very long way (see my pictures below)! One little dab, covered my entire hand (and of course will cover your entire face & neck). So far, so good! This polish is very creamy (like a paste) and gentle on the skin. But don't take it as weak by any means! It definitely gets the job done. I've been using this 2-3 times a week and have had NO PROBLEMS whatsoever! 2-3 times a week people! That's unprecedented for me! The difference between the Murad and other 2 polishers I tried above was how my skin felt afterwards...SUPER CLEAN & HEALTHY LOOKING. The Murad polisher really seemed to get into my pores, sides of my nose and get those areas clean without my skin feeling stripped. My skin always has a nice glow afterwards. I love the way it felt on my face, neck and even shoulders. Murad, should really consider making a BODY polish exfoliator using this same formula (ok, maybe with a little more grit LOL). I would definitely purchase it. This polish also doesn't dry your skin out. I experienced no redness, irritation, flaking or dry patches. Every once in awhile, your skin just needs a very good cleaning. Also something to remove daily dead skin cells. I love Murad's peel and also this polisher. I found that both my skincare products and makeup performed better after using them. And what's so fabulous is, I can see ALL SKIN TYPES benefiting from this product (which is unusual)! So all of it's claims ARE true! Does it deeply exfoliate to leave skin soft and smooth? YES. Does it help relieve congested pores? YES. I'm very pleased with this product and will be adding it to my skincare regimen.

  1. I have oily skin, so scrubs work very well for me.

  2. Hehe, and here I'm quite the opposite. My oily skin sings out "I would love some SCRUBS!" especially in the summer xD
(dangit, now I have that TLC song stuck in my head though).

  7. Although I have oily skin, it's also very sensitive and prone to allergic reactions, so scrubs have always been a no-go for me. It's often the scent that I react to in a product so this polisher might not work for me either, but it does sound really promising!

  9. I have not used a scrub in my face for a while. I had a facial a few weeks ago but after that I have been trying to stay away because of my rosacea.
A SUPERSWEET rating from you makes me want to try it - however I dont think we have that brand here.

  11. I'll definitely have to check this one out! I actually have the opposite skin type, mine is very oily and acne prone, so a lot of products don't do well with me, but this seems like it's worth the try. I also have really large pore, like REALLY large, haha, and need something that will effectively minimize them! Thanks for sharing, beauty, and I hope you're having a great week so far!

  12. It sounds wonderful Kim! :) I have a scrub I use now and then in the shower but I have to be careful as my skin is quite sensitive - I should look for polishers in future! :)

  13. This does remind me of a strawberry smoothie lol!!! I use a face scrub, but I've never used a polisher, and I've actually never heard of a face polisher! This sounds amazing, I love these could be for all skin types too! I'm glad you love this, Kim! It's something I'll have to consider next time I'm ready for a new skincare item!

  14. I prefer polishers too because of my sensitive skin. You shouldn't use a polisher more than once a week, because your skin will get even drier and sensitive. Baci, Valeria - Coco et La vie en rose NEW POST

  15. I tend to be wary of scrubs as well Kim but seeing as this worked well with your skin, I'd think it could simiarly work well for me too. The strawberry scent sounds very appealing too :)

  19. Yes, I do use face scrubs once a month. I love the ones I order from Korea ;-) Love that the Murad one is good for sensitive skin. Some scrubs can really be very harsh. This one looks like it smells good ;-)

  21. I'm always a little wary of trying a new scrub since I've had bad experiences in the past. This one sounds great! It does the job without causing any irritation! Thanks for the rec :)

  24. I used to never use scrubs because I was scared to due to my sensitive skin...but now, I'm a total sucker for a good scrub! My favorite is from Micheal Todd, but I have been wanting to try Murad products for the longest time now.
